And Another

Okay, so I did one more card with the sketch challenge for the week. The fun part? I used my new Cuttlebug for one of the elements. I just love that thing! It is so easy to use and adds an element into my crafting I didn't think I'd every be able to afford (ever see the prices on die cut machines?). I know the picture isn't the best but it is the best picture that shows the embossing that I did with the Cuttlebug. Anyway, here it is...Stamps: Very Punny, Small Sayings, A Muse (saying stamp). Cardstock: Taken with Teal, Regal Rose, Whipser White, Loves Me Designer paper. Ink: Basic Black, Regal Rose. Accessories: Cuttlebug embossing folder, Cutter Kit, Flirty Ribbon, and Dimensionals.

Soon I'm going to do a multi-day project. One of the rages on the crafting scene right now is to take one of the little mailboxes you can get out there and alter it by covering with paper and such. I've decided to make one of them (once I receive them). I thought it would be a good project to share with everyone. Keep an eye out!

Okay, I'm off to start my Saturday. Have a great day everyone!

It came!

It's here, it's here! My Cuttlebug came last night just before my leaving for church (of course). I didn't have anytime to do anything with it last night but rest assured I will be playing with it today!

Here is another card that I made from this weeks sketch challenge. This has already been sent to it's intended receiver so I hope I don't miss anything on the card. Stamp Set: Love Matters. Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Regal Rose, Whisper White, and Love Me Designer Paper. Ink: Chocolate Chip and Regal Rose. Accessories: Flirty Ribbon and White Gel Pen. This was tons of fun to make and oh, so easy with the designer paper.

So, that is my sharing for today. I hope you have a fantastic Friday and a wonderful 3-Day weekend!

Differences

Just a quick post about differences today. Differences in stamping are just like differences in other area's of your life. I have come to find that I look at all the fabulous card/scrapbook pages on Splitcoast and get discouraged because mine aren't that fancy or why can't I be that creative. Well, we all are at different levels. Some designs are for me and some aren't. It doesn't mean that I'm a horrible stamper it just means that it takes me a little more to be creative. It's the same with the Stampin' Up! business. Some people are are able to do this business full time and do fantastic. Some, like me, are just plugging along, still enjoying the business but not making it into anything especially huge. That is okay too. Just always remember it's your time do with it what you'd like...with whom you'd like...and you'll be fine.

Now, onto a card I made last night. As I've told you all before SCS has a new sketch challenge every week and this card's layout is from that. The cardstock is Mellow Moss, Close to Cocoa, Regal Rose, Whisper White, and Rebeccah Designer Paper. The inks are Regal Rose and Mellow Moss. Accessories are the Uniglo Gel Pen, Wide White Organdy, Dimensionals, and some Stickles. The stamp set is called Polka Dots and Paisley and it is a brand new set that will be coming out in the Spring Mini. All SU! demonstrators received this stamp set as a gift from Shelli (the president of SU!) this past Christmas. Also, what is exciting is if you sign up to become a SU! demo anytime in January or February you will receive this set (in addition to one other free set of your choice AND all of the other stampin' stuff in your kit) for free too! Just a little plug for a moment!

Anyway, enjoy your Thursday, all!

Stamp Club was FUN!!!

We had stamp club last night and it was so much fun! Everyone that comes is so talented and nice. I wish we could meet up two or three times a month just so I could get to see them and chat with them!

I'm going to post a 2-4-6-8 Box that we made last night. It is an excellent size box for Valentine's Day sharing at your childs school or even perhaps with your co-workers (of course with co-workers you have to be careful what you stamp and well, you get the idea!). You can go to this blog and find step by step directions for makings these.

Ohhhhh...guess what? I got shipping notices yesterday for my Cuttlebug and the embossing templates and dies that I ordered! They should be here tomorrow! I can't wait to play with them!

So, got a few things to do today (put in the stamp club order) and go to Charter to check on my account but other than that I should be able to do some stamping! Check back tomorrow to see!

A request for you. My husband, Todd, has started his five month stint at the Washington Basic Law Enforcement Academy and I'm just asking for prayer that all will go fine. He will be traveling back and forth on the weekends from Tacoma and with the pass and such...well, prayers are just appreciated!

Have a great Wednesday everyone!

PS: Blogger just got hung up so I didn't get to spell check. I apologize now for any mistakes! :0)

Yes! You are in the right place!

Good morning all! I'm just trying to find a template that works for me so I'm using different styles every now and then. Please bear with me! I kinda like this green!

So...I definitely had some time to stamp yesterday and was very fruitful with my time. Just one more project and I'll be ready for stamp club on Tuesday...nothing like waiting 'til the last minute, huh? I was all done with my club stamping and sat down to wind down and watch a little t.v. when a thread that I had read on SCS came to mind. It's a thread asking for ideas of no layer Sell-A-Bration cards. Anyway, I was sitting there and all of a sudden an idea came to mind. So, I hopped up and made this card. I think it is very cute but the Stickles didn't work quite the way I wanted. The idea was a light layer of glitter but I got a lot. I should have used dazzling diamonds, huh? I still think it is darn cute though! The size is 4 1/4 X 4 1/4. I used Whisper White cardstock, red gingham ribbon, Real Red ink, Basic Black ink, Christmas Red Stickles, and markers. Very easy and quick to make!

Today I will finish the last project and do some more pleasure stamping. I have a couple of more things in mind so I'd like to see if I can do them.

Hope you all have a great Sunday!
