Life is a bowlful of cherries!

Happy Friday! I can hardly believe this week is over already but I think I've been saying that all week, huh? How about you guys...did it go fast for you too?

When I sat down to stamp the other day I really wanted to use one of my Paper Makeup Stamps so I pulled out Christi fairy and made a bookmark with her. This bookmark is 2 1/2 x 5 1/2. I put little magnets at the bottom so that it would close on its own...a very nice feature for sure. For the patterned paper/solid card stock I used items from an older Taylored Expressions Key Ingredient Kit. I colored with my Copic markers and added a little glitter on a couple of the cherries. It is cute and functional!

So...do you like this bookmark enough to want it for your own? Yes? Well, good 'cuz I'm going to give it away to one of my readers. This is a one day blog candy give away so you have to just leave me a little comment by this evening at 8 p.m. pacific time to be in the running for it. I'll choose a number via random.familymember at that time and post the winner on Saturday morning. Cool?

I'm not very chatty today so I guess that is all I have for you but do leave a comment if you'd like a chance to win the bookmark AND have a wonderful day!

Jeremiah 29:11

Good morning! Welcome to this wonderful Tuesday! "He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered." Psalm 111:4. Those memories are worth keeping!

I noticed that this week's Paper Makeup Stamps challenge is a sketch challenge and who am I to turn down that kind of challenge? Tee Hee So, I decided to grab their Believe Scripture Set and use the Jeremiah 29:11 stamp. Jeremiah 29: 11-13 is my favorite set of verses. They are full of hope and promise! I made this for a friend's mom. She is going through cancer treatments right now and I just want to encourage her. I'm hoping she will like it!

Sherrill Graff, SU! demo extraordinaire is asking for our help with the Ronald McDonald House charity that SU! partners with. Check out the following links for more information on this worthy cause.

Friends

Good morning friends! Was your Saturday wonderful? I didn't really accomplish much but sometimes...that is okay!

So, did you guys see the Paper Makeup Stamps release for July? Not only did they have some super fun fairies released this month but they released some wonderful word art, too. The sentiment to the right is one of them. Oh, and they are all digital this month...kinda cool. SNRS had a fun challenge on Friday which was a sketch posted at 5 p.m. my time which had to be created and uploaded to their website by 6:15 p.m. The card you see is the one that I made and uploaded. Super simple but since I forgot until 5:45 that I was going to play in that challenge, it needed to be. The paper is from the Lemonade Basic Grey pad that I got from limeLIGHT as are the buttons and the ribbon is from SU! I think I told you guys that I have a friend that will be moving soon and I plan on giving her this card.

I'm making this a short one since Todd turned on the Tour de France. and I'd like to see today's finish. So, with that...have a wonderful Sunday. Take some time to relax and enjoy your family! Hug

Smitten Snake

Morning everyone! I hope you had a wonderful start to you week yesterday!

Just a quick card to show you today. While I attended Paper Makeup Stamps new release party Sunday afternoon I also made this card for Todd. This cute stamp, from Paper Makeup, is called Smitten Snake. Now, I really don't like snakes but this one, with his big smile, is truly cute! I apparently had some problems with layering so please excuse that. I was in a hurry to get it done so I could put it in Todd's truck before he got done with work. I used the Card Patterns sketch for this card. This weeks sketch is a great multipurpose sketch design specifically for bigger images so get those stamps out girls!

I just have a little announcement for those that live in my area. My church is having VBS June 22-26 from 9 a.m. to noon. We are encouraging online registration that you can do through our church website HERE. The kids always have a great time every year so why not bring them over? Let me know if you have any questions!

Alright, I'm off for the day. I hope you all have a pleasant and productive day!

Card deets:
Stamps: Smitten Snake
Ink: Palette Noir
Cardstock: PTI White, SU! Old Olive Patterns DP, Certainly Celery

birthday lauren

Good morning everyone! I hope you had a fantastic weekend! It sure was beautiful here this weekend and is supposed to be 84 degrees today, too! Lovin' it!

For today's card I decided to pull out my Birthday Lauren from Paper Makeup Stamps. I am not much of a fairy kind of gal but I love this images...they are fun to color, just the perfect size for my comfort zone! I added lots of shimmer and sparkle to this card which was difficult to see in the first picture so I tried again which gave me a blurry picture but at least you can see some of the sparkly stuff.

Monday is always the Paper Makeup Challenge day and this weeks challenge is a very pretty watermelon and apple which is basically a pink/green combination. You can see it HERE. You don't have to use their stamps to play along so if you like the color combo...go for it!

Todd and I are going to climb the ridge this morning. That link I gave you doesn't really do the hike or the view justice. Since I'm a big baby it will probably take us about 45 minutes up the ridge and 25 minutes down but the sense of accomplishment and the view when up there are SO worth it!

With that...I'm off to eat a little something and get hydrated without drinking too much...no bathrooms at the top ya know!

Card deets:
Stamps: Birthday Lauren:
Ink: Palette Noir
Paper: PTI White and Spring Rain, SU! Purely Pomegranate, Scenic Route Surprise patterned paper
Accessories: PTI Black Grosgrain, Black Copic Glitter Pen, Angels Wings Shimmerz, Glaze Pen

okay...fine

Morning everyone! Why is it when I post that I'm not going to be back for a couple of day that I end up finding time to finish something I was working on? Too, weird!

Anyway, I have had this wonderful Dawdling Turtle stamp (and sentiment) from Paper Makeup for sometime and I just love him. His eyes are SO expressive and the sentiment...it is important for all of use to remember. So, when I found this super cute turtle paper I knew I had to use my sweet Dawdling Turtle. And, if you know me...I had to fit a couple of challenges into the card too. This works for both the PMS sketch (that I had to flip) and Kerry's challenge for this week. Go ahead and click on the links to find out what they are all about.

Alright...I'm back to working hard! Have a super Tuesday everyone!

Card deets:
Stamps: Dawdling Turtle
Paper: PTI White, PTI Brown, Three Bugs in a Rug Snips & Snail
Ink: PTI Brown
Accessories: White Gel Pen, Copic Markers, Nesties, Stampin' Dimensionals, Stampin' Up! Clips Assortment

page plans day

Good morning everyone! I hope you've had a wonderful weekend so far! I'd like to thank you all for your kind words and funny stories regarding Scott's wisdom teeth removal. He is doing quite well but he's still tired. Tomorrow is the third day and it is supposed to be the worst day so we'll see what happens.

As you know, today is Page Plans sketch day on my blog. I had fun with this card/sketch. My card is 5"x5" and is perfect for this fun Emma stamp from Paper Makeup Stamps. Isn't she just adorable? To make it a little more special I used Shimmerz (from limeLIGHT) on her wings and gloves as well as a glaze pen on the raindrops. For the center of my buttons I put some Silver Rhinestones (again from limeLIGHT). The cardstock and patterned paper, buttons and ribbon are from PTI. Oh and the little twinkle on the pockets are from Taylored Expressions as well as the sentiment. Boy that is quite the assembly of things isn't it?

So...whatcha waiting for? Head on over to the Page Plans blog to take a gander at this weeks sketch and then make your own card! Oh, and have a super day while you are at it!

Got PMS?

Nope, not that kind of PMS! Paper Makeup Stamps! I had just told myself...self, no more stamps you have plenty! Then I look at Paper Makeup Stamps and I just had to try one or two sooooo....Elle and Emma came to live with me!

Isn't she the cutest? I love this Easter Elle! I used some very sweet Easter paper by Pebbles that I got at limeLIGHT Papercrafts. I used some Pixie Dust Blingz on her wings (appropriate, right?). Some Primas with a Pearl for the center finishes off this card nicely. Elle is colored with Copic Markers. I have found that I enjoy coloring these types of images much more than bigger images...probably because I don't get the streaking I get with with bigger images. I think I need to do some research into how to color larger areas. Anyway, this was another of those cards that I really enjoyed making.

Alright...I'm off and running for the day. I hope you have a wonderful Saturday and I'll see ya tomorrow!
