Three Clovers Designs Challenge

Happy Thursday everyone! How has your week gone? I'm so thrilled that it is finally Thursday...I've been thinking it is Thursday all week...LOL!

Today is Three Clovers Designs Challenge day and today we were challenged to make something with more than one stamp...and that doesn't include the sentiment. Here I have a Valentine's Day card made with the stamp set I {Heart} Hearts and uses four of the different hearts in the set. I'm loving the Scallop Trim Border punch in the SAB catalog. I'm using it on a lot of stuff and I think it looks so neat!

Morning guys! Welcome to Three Clovers Designs Challenge Thursday! This weeks theme is (as you can tell from the post title) Baby, it's cold outside!

Now...I wish I could take credit for this card but I can't, not really. I changed a few things up but it is mostly CASEd from a card on Stampin' Addicts. The sets I used are Winter Post and Lovely As A Tree.

I also made this card for my stamp club's swap...our theme was winter as well. Kinda nice how that worked out!

3 Clovers Designs Challenge

Hi All! Welcome to Three Clovers Design Challenge Thursday! Today, Kerry, asked us to make something that represented our resolutions for the year. Now, I don't make resolutions...I set goals. So...this card represents one of my goals for this year...ready?

My goal for this year is to not only make birthday cards but to actually send them out. I get e-mail reminders of my family's and close friend's upcoming birthdays and often just ignore them (there are one or two other issues in play here but those are mine and I'll not share them). So...this year...when I get a birthday notice I'm going to be certain to send a card and if I don't have one made I'll make it within 2 days of the notice to be sure it gets there on time. This is also a lazy issue for me...not sure why though as cards only make people happy or bring comfort so seriously...why would I not send them?

I've used the brand new Sweet Pea papers and Sweet Pea Stitched Felt from the new Occasions Mini. The colors and style are completely me! Love them!

Three Clovers Designs Challenge

Good morning all! Today is Three Clovers Designs Challenge day and I'm excited to share that our challenge for today was to make an ornament. We give our boys ornaments every year that, when they move out, they can take with them for their own Christmas tree. This year it was a bit of a struggle as I couldn't find what I wanted. Todd, however, did find something for two of our boys but I was still in a conundrum of what to do for the third...until this challenge.

My favorite Thomas Kinkade stamp website had a tutorial to make these ornaments some time ago but I never got around to making one until now. They are way easy and in real life this thing shimmers and shines like you would not believe as each side (5) has glittered edges and I added glitter pen to the tree and White House on the printed side. If you know my kiddos at all you probably already know which one of my boys this is for. I'm pretty safe in posting this as I don't believe he reads my blog at all.

I'm baaack!

Good morning everyone! I'm so thrilled to be back posting a card for you guys! The most exciting part is that I'll be posting tomorrow AND Saturday, too! I've been so busy with my new Dove Chocolate Discoveries business (and I'm not just saying that!) that I have been too tired to stamp. Well, that and the fact that I had quite a head cold for the last week or so. I couldn't even keep my head down long enough to stamp without it pounding but I'm feeling much better now!

That said when I saw this week's challenge for Three Clovers Designs I knew I had to play along. I sure hope this card looks the way I wanted it to (but I think I may have spaced the trees to far apart...yeah, I definitely should have had them down just a little...such is life). Anyway, this week's challenge is to use blue, silver, and white. Uh, that sounds like a wintery combination to me so I had to pull out my Lovely As A Tree set. I used Shimmery White cardstock then stamped my trees in Night of Navy THEN I sponged frost white ink (from SU!) on the wet Night of Navy ink to get the almost gray-ish looking trees on the bottom...it is SO shimmery in real life! The rest is pretty self explanatory but the sentiment is a rub-on...I always forget to use those so I pulled them out yesterday. So pull out your blue, silver, and white papers and get to work! Don't forget to link them up to Kerry's blog...the link it up a little in this paragraph.

On another note...my middle son, Jon, went last weekend to enlist in the Army. We are totally behind his decision and are incredibly proud of him! He will go in July to Basic Training and then onto his AIT. I hope you will add him now to your daily prayer list. I know I want Jesus' wisdom just soaking into Jon right now!

What is fun about Stacy winning is that she lives right in town with me and is a member of my stamp club...that doesn't happen very often! Congrats girl!

3 Clovers Designs Challenge

Morning! I wanted to get this posted real quick for Kerry's 3 Clover's Designs challenge. This week it was to make a non-card item and honestly, I've had this done for some time. I have made several of these for teacher gifts.

These notepad folders are made with the Thoroughly Modern folders in the Stampin' Up! catalog. Just a little cutting, scoring, and folding and you'll be all set. Then I added some ribbon and a tag with their initial. I really like them!

I don't have time to bore you with my commentary today so I'll just leave you with a reminder to vote in my poll (right side of my blog) and comment on THIS post for a chance to win some blog candy.

A Day of Thanksgiving...

Morning ladies! If you are like me you are just taking a few moments to check out blogs in between cooking all we need for our Thanksgiving dinner. Thank you for stopping by my blog today!

Today is the 3 Clovers Designs Challenge day. Our challenge is to make a Thanksgiving or Thank You card. I chose a thank you card.

This card is super easy and quick to put together. I used SU!'s Flower Fantasy Printed window sheets, Cottage Wall DSP, Thank You Kindly stamp, and some fun punches along with a little bling and tah dah...a simple but elegant thank you card!

So, what can you do for the Thanksgiving/Thank You Challenge? All you need to do is create, link it up to Kerry's blog and you've participated!

Three Clovers Designs Challenge

Morning all! I'm excited because today is Three Clovers Designs Challenge day! This weeks challenge was to make a Christmas card without traditional red and green and I think I did it!

First, you need to check out Kerry's Challenge HERE. Then you need to play along. While I'd love to tell you what products I've used for this card I can't. The majority of them are not Stampin' Up! and therefore due to the new IDA I cannot link you to them or tell you where I've gotten them. There is a hint in the color though if you are really interested in knowing.

While I know you can't really see it there is a ton of sparkle on this card. Everything below the black line has Dazzling Diamonds glitter on it and the owls eye lashes and detailing has glitter as well.

This is definitely another of the Three Clovers Designs Challenges that I love! Thanks for letting me be a part of your fun ride Kerry!

3 Clovers Challenge Day!!

Morning all! So...I didn't get a card ready to post yesterday...sorry about that...but, I did craft today and have about 3 different projects to show you over the next couple of days. However, I have not made my Blogger's Challenge card yet. Guess that will come today, huh?

As for this card...today is 3 Clovers Designs Challenge day. Today's challenge is to make a card for a teenager. Why would this card work? 'Cuz it is SO perfect for my teenager. My middle son loves to be outside and is always being goofy so I thought this bear and the look on his face would be perfect. And, the sentiment...that is definitely my boy...actually it is all three of my boys!

Also, this card was made for the Latenight Stampers challenge of the week which is to make a card inspired by your favorite candy bar. Well, I didn't use my favorite candy bar...I used one of Jon's favorites...Snickers. Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Confetti White (so I could watercolor), and Ballet Blue. I even followed the lines of the rectangle that is around the word Snicker on the wrapper.

I know this is very simple but I'm still so excited to give it to him...just so he can remember that we love him!

So...why don't you play along. If you have a teenager...make a card for them. If not...make a card for one of your kids and most importantly...give it to them. They will remember it for years to come!

3 Clovers Designs Challenge

Happy Thursday morning to everyone! Welcome to 3 Clovers Designs Challenge day. Sorry my post is up a little late!

Today's challenge was my favorite...a sketch. Head on over to Kerry's blog to see the sketch. I've been in a Christmas card making mood so today and tomorrow you'll see Christmas cards. For today's card I used the SU! set called Delightful Decorations for my main image. I really wanted the ornament to stand out so I heat embossed it with Winter White embossing powder and left it on just red cardstock to have it pop even more. The paper is from the Christmas Cocoa Designer Series Paper pack and the sentiment from TeenyTiny Wishes (love that set...I get SO much use out of it!). A fancy border, some silver cord and I called it done. Oh...the holly image you see on the red and sentiment pieces is from the set called Leaf Lines. If you haven't taken a look at that set, you should, it is very nice! Oh, and one more thing...all the white cardstock you see is Shimmery White which has become a favorite recently. Everything I used on this card can be found in my Stampin' Up! website that you can find a link for in my right side column!

3 Clovers Designs Challenge

Morning all! Just a fun little post for you today. Today is 3 Clovers Design Challenge day and today we were supposed to make a fall/Halloween treat holder.

Well, it ended up that I had a couple of my friends over yesterday afternoon after an early release of school so I promptly put them to work making 12 of these cute treat holders. The girls ran the cardstock and patterned paper through the Big Shot on the Top Note die, punched out the sentiment pieces (scallop and wide oval) and adhesive'd it all together...they did a great job, huh? And I must say...it was fun having girls in the house. They were so efficient that it only took about an hour to do them all and then they were off outside to play in the wonderful sunshine and cool fall weather.

Thank you Samantha and Katharine for your help today! I had a great time hanging out with you!

Tomorrow is Blogger's Challenge day and...my birthday...yay! I will have a SU! special and surprise for you tomorrow so be sure to check back!

3 Clovers Challenge Day!!

Morning everyone! How is your week going? This week, thankfully, has gone quite quickly...I can hardly believe that we are only a week from vacation...yay!

Anyway, today is 3 Clovers Designs Challenge day! Yay! Being that this month is breast cancer awareness month Kerry has challenged us to use pink on our card/project. Uhhhh....I love pink! So I decided to combine this challenge with a swap that I'm in and Story Time Sophia is what I came up with. Isn't it just such a happy card? I love the buttons and whimsical feel of the card. The size of the card also makes it more of a note card size at 3 1/2 x 5. I love that size for quick notes to friends or make a card that size with a thank you image. Great stuff!

Story Time...School Time

Happy Thursday all! Where did the week go? I know...we missed a day at the beginning of the week! Today is the first day of school for my boys (well, not the college boy though). Welcome to 12th and 6th grade! It's kind of amazing that we are already at middle school for my youngest...the years really have gone by quickly!

Today is Thursday which means it's 3 Clovers Challenge day! Today's challenge is to use letters on your card...not words only letters. So what do you have in books? Letters...which, of course, form words but that's just being picky...lol!

3 Clovers Thursday Challenge

Morning everyone! This is post #2 for today so be sure you scroll up to see this week's limeLIGHT sketch and product challenge.

This month's challenges at 3 Clovers Thursday Challenges will be based upon a school theme. Today's challenge, specifically, is to use primary colors such as red, blue, yellow and apparently green. I had to choose to use green as I made this card for Kyler for his first day of school and well...green is his favorite color! I even gave this guy cute blonde hair like Kyler's, fun! This is also for a sketch challenge of some sort but I don't recall which one...sorry!

I chose this image as Kyler and I always do the "I love you" sign to each other when one of us is leaving. Go ahead...awwww...I do love it, too!

Photo Card

Happy Thursday! We are on the downside of this week and like I said yesterday...this week is flying by! It's Thursday so that means I go to Care Net today...yay! Could you all pray for me that if a client comes in that I have confidence that Jesus will help me through my talk with her? I get SO nervous! Anyway...

Wanna hear my news? Yeah? Okay...the wonderful Kerry from 3 Clovers Designs has asked me to be a part of her challenge team....**screaming loudly!*** When she e-mailed me last week I went in the bathroom where my husband was and literally jumped up and down squealing with delight! With that information you can expect that at least twice a month (on opposite Thursdays from limeLIGHT but sometimes I'll have two posts) you will see a card or project that I've made with the challenge that Kerry puts out for us all to try.

This week's challenge is to use a photograph on your card/project. I was stumped as to how/what to do but I knew I wanted to make a card with the photo of the Bronze Star rose that I took this summer. First I printed out the photo so I could find some patterned paper that would work with it. I ended up with some Basic Grey paper. Then, I decided on the size I wanted the photo to be along with what shape. Obviously I went with the Curved Rectangles Nestabilities in different sizes. The rest of the card (and it is a card...it opens at the bottom) came together very quickly. I really like the class the pearls give the card! The hugs & kisses sentiment (from PTI) is placed there for my grandparents. I can't wait to send it to them!

So, I have the rest of the challenge girls in my side bar to the right. I really would suggest that you visit all of their blogs so that you can see the wonderful artwork that they have for you.

Liberty Sophia

Good morning everyone! Whose happy it is Friday? ME! I get to go pick up Kyler today...woot! Actually, I have quite a few things to do today so it will be a busy one. I like that though...keeps me out of trouble! LOL!

Yesterdays, Thursday challenge on Kerry's blog is to make a no layer card. Kerry's sample is a card made with Liberty Riley from Hannah Stamps. All I have to say is...I see your Liberty Riley and raise you a Libery Sophia, Kerry!! I got this image from Paper Pretties about a month ago and I just love her!Isn't the deep embossing on this card wonderful? Gina K's Stamp T.V. has a video on how to use your Nestibilities to do the embossing in your Cuttlebug this week. I have a Big Shot so I just adapted it a little. The sentiment is actually from PaperTrey. A few red pearls from limeLIGHT and sparkly black dots really pull this card together.

Alright everyone, I'm off to link my card up to Kerry's blog and let her know about my raising the stakes in the card makin' game and then I'll probably be off to get Kyler!

Morning everyone! Why is it when I post that I'm not going to be back for a couple of day that I end up finding time to finish something I was working on? Too, weird!

Anyway, I have had this wonderful Dawdling Turtle stamp (and sentiment) from Paper Makeup for sometime and I just love him. His eyes are SO expressive and the sentiment...it is important for all of use to remember. So, when I found this super cute turtle paper I knew I had to use my sweet Dawdling Turtle. And, if you know me...I had to fit a couple of challenges into the card too. This works for both the PMS sketch (that I had to flip) and Kerry's challenge for this week. Go ahead and click on the links to find out what they are all about.
