Dressed Up Pail

Good morning friends! I hope you are having a wonderful Saturday! I have one friend that told me she could stop by my house anytime today as she and her hammock were going to be friends today. I wish I was her!

Anyway, I told my PEO group that I would decorate a container for our brag jar. A brag jar is one of the things we do to raise money for scholarships. At the end of our meeting if you want to brag on something in your life then you have to put a donation in the jar...any amount is fine. It is a fun thing to do. Anyway, I had this fun Stampendous pail sitting around my house so I thought I'd decorate that up. I used Stampin' Up! Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper, Old Olive Ribbon, and some olive Thickers since I didn't have a SU! alphabet set. I just used the same papers and my nestabilities for the lid. Simple but pretty I think.

I also made two other cards yesterday so I should have a post for ya tomorrow too. I know...can ya believe it?

Well, I hope you enjoy your Saturday and get lots accomplished today!

limeLIGHT Challenge Day

Good morning everyone! Can you believe it is Thursday already? Time goes so fast! I'm excited because today my friend from Hawaii is coming to visit for a couple of days. No big plans but it will be nice to just hang with her!

Well, today is limeLIGHT Papercrafts sketch and product challenge. Today's product challenge is BUTTONS! I really like buttons but don't use them much so I was excited for this challenge.

First, the card sketch is HERE. I used lots of fun and new products from limeLIGHT. They have their stock of the new Basic Grey items in so I had to go with the new June Bug paper along with the buttons and chipboard stickers that match. I have to tell you, though, that LLPC also has the Woolies, Pops, and Favors that match the June Bug (and Lemonade) paper so you'll be all set with your paper crafting needs! Inside I used my SU! 3-tier cake die and used the June Bug paper and stamps to decorate it. I'm not sure if I've ever seen a cake with the sides of the layers decorated and not the top but that is okay...right?

Now...here are the official rules of the challenge...

The Details:
**Use the sketch linked above and dress it up with BUTTONS!
**Key word for SCS upload is LLPC025
**Post a comment with a link to your card on THIS post at Mandy's blog by Sunday, July 12, at midnight (or before winner is drawn Monday a.m.).
**PRIZE ~
One package of buttons of the winner's choice! (Winner is chosen randomly from all participants.)

There you have it girls! I hope you'll take some time to participate in this fun sketch, visit the limeLIGHT store and participate in the challenge! Don't forget to check out all the other super talented limeLIGHT girls by clicking through to their blogs from my right side bar!
Have a wonderful day and I'll see you tomorrow...which is Friday! Woot

Photography Excitment!

Hey, everyone! No card for ya today but I had to share with you my excitement! Have you all heard of Jessica Sprague? She is a digital guru and her website is amazing! She always has classes going so that you can learn to do some really neat stuff. What I'm excited about is that there is a new class on Jessica's blog called Oh Shoot! Beginning Digital SLR Photography. It is being taught by Candice Stringham who is crazy talented. Here is the thing...I almost always shoot my photos in RAW but I don't know much about lighting, composition and such so I thought this class would be a great fit for me. That and I want to take wonderful pictures at WDW in October. Anyway, this class is super hard to get into and fills up within minutes of it going live so I'm THRILLED to get in! Class starts Monday so I don't even have to wait that long to get started...yay!

I also want to share my Psalm from my calendar for today...I think you guys will think...hmmm, interesting...

Preserve my life from the fear of the enemy. Psalm 64:1
So it's the fear of the enemy, not the enemy itself...

Now isn't that interesting? Here is the thing...fear is never from God, it is always satan lead so it makes sense that it is the fear of the enemy that God needs to save us from. The best part is that we can give our fears up to God and he will take it away. Isn't it wonderful? Ahhhh....

Anyway, I hope that you all have a wonderful Wednesday! I'm off to make two cards and be all set to post cards for you tomorrow (limeLIGHT day) and Friday! Woot! See You Later

New Stuff!

Morning everyone! I hope you had a wonderful Monday and got tons accomplished! I didn't get quite as much done as I would have liked but that happens sometimes doesn't it?

I received my first Stampin' Up! new catalog order via UPS yesterday and, of course, I had to sit down top make a card. When I first saw the new set Herb Expressions I knew I had to have it. I was even happier when I Googled Rosemary, looked at the images and the flowers within Rosemary where a light purple as that meant it would match with my new Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper. The colors in this new paper are Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, and Orchid Opulence. Now tell me...how many of you have used Orchid Opulence recently? Other than this card I sure haven't but it looks wonderful in this combination! The other new product I used is a stamp from the stamp set Teeny Tiny Wishes. The sentiment that would match with the rosemary image was to big for the area in which I needed the sentiment so I chose the 'thinking of you' sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments set. Love it!

So...there you have it! Thursday is limeLIGHT Papercrafts sketch and product challenge day so head on back here to see what challenge we have for you this week! I hope that you have a wonderful Tuesday and get lots accomplished!

Card deets:
Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes, Herb Expressions
Ink: Basic Black, Old Olive, Orchid Opulence
Paper: Whisper White, Old Olive, Orchid Opulence, Rich Razzleberry
Accessories: Blender Pen, Gold Brads, Small and Large Oval Punches

Stampin' Addicts and the Big Shot!!!

limeLIGHT July Project

Good morning friends! Today is the 6th of the month so that means I get to share my limeLIGHT Papercrafts project of the month with you. This month Mandy asked us to use something with stars or stripes or stars and stripes.

I thought I had shown you plenty of patriotic cards this last week so I went a little different way with my stripes and used some Basic Grey striped patterned paper with Core'dinations cardstock to make an accordion purse. My friend, Kris, has made several of these and they are oh, so cute so I had to try one! To dress up my file purse a little I used a stamp from Q.T. Hooty by Pink Cat Studio. I had such fun coloring the hats so that each of those cute owls could have their own personality! For a finishing touch I had fun with some white adhesive pearls from Kaisercraft (you MUST check out the color selection Mandy has!) This file purse was so easy to put together! You can see the directions HERE if you'd like to make your own.

Now I know I love a good sale so here is a quick run down of what Mandy has on special for this week...

25% off: All Glitter, Bazzill Chips, All Fun Flock and 20% off: All Pink Paislee Stamps and All Unity Stamps! I'm thinkin' I'll be check that out too! Now, if you'd like to see some more amazing projects click on the following links to be taken to the design teams members blogs...Lisa, Amy, Ryann, Lee, JenMarie, Mandy, and guest designer A.J.
