Hello from Wisconsin!

Well, we arrived safely and have now been here for a couple of days. We've seen some family and will see more this weekend. I'm most excited to see my grandpa who will be coming up to see us from Iowa. :0)
Here is a fun little project that I made before I left. I received a couple of these really big paper clips in a Paper Pretties kit that I received a couple of months ago and have just now decided to make a bookmark with one. I just took a flower from the chipboard set called *insert name here...'cuz I can't remember* and then decorated it with some DP. I used a rhinestone brad in the center as well. Both sides are the same. It was a really fun thing to make and didn't really take any time at all. Now...just to find some more of those big clips!
Hope you have a great Saturday everyone!

Tomorrow we fly...

So, tomorrow is the day we fly to Wisconsin so there will be no post tomorrow because it is pretty much an all day adventure. Kyler is sooooo excited to go he keeps telling me that he wishes it was today. Too cute! We took the Boeing Plant Tour and saw where and how they build the 747. It was interesting but not as much information as I would have liked. Guess it is mostly proprietary info so they can't give it away. Oh, and I just had a wonderful dinner at Olive Garden. Have you guys seen the commercial for the Shrimp Caprese? Well, that is what I had. It is definitely a different flavor from other Italian red sauces but it was quite tasty. I would suggest you try it if you get a chance.

I think that I have enough photos on my thumb drive to post a card today so here you go! (Maybe Todd will stamp something and post while I'm gone too!) This beautiful get well card was made by my friend Courtney at Created By Courtney. It is made with the Baroque Motifs set. She used a transparency and embossed the swirls. I just love this card and will definitely be trying this sometime! Thank you so much Courtney for thinking of me.

If you are interested I'm feeling much better. I'm mobile all the time but I am exhausted by the end of the day and my abdomen gets sore and a little swollen by the end of the day but other than that....I'm golden. And Kyler? He is sooooo much better too! He and I are just so happy he is so much better. It is amazing what the correct antibiotic will do! Oh, I just have to mention that we have the BEST pediatrician. Dr. Herman called Kyler on Sunday to see how he was doing and then she called again on Tuesday morning to see how he was. Isn't that just fantastic?!

Alrighty guys...you have a wonderful next couple of days and I'll be back on Friday! Pray for a good trip for us! :0)

Did you see?

Did you see I'm at 25,000 views? Holy Cow you guys! I definitely think it is time for some blog candy. The problem? I'm going out of town. Hmmm...what can I possibly do? Give me some time to think about it OR give me some ideas and I'll post back soon!

I'm off to get my hair done, have a foot/leg massage, and pedicure. Aren't you jealous?!

Have a great day!

Only one more day!

I think I've mentioned to you guys before that Kyler and I will be taking a trip on Thursday back to Wisconsin to visit family and friends. Well, we have decided to leave a couple of days early and do some stuff over in the Seattle area. One of the things we will do is tour the Boeing plant in Mukilteo. I'm kind of excited about that. Only thing is...Kyler is having "boy" problems. I don't want to go into detail but there was a trip to the ER (only 'cuz we don't have an urgent care and no doctors are open on Saturday in my town) on Saturday and to the doctor's office this morning. Hopefully it will just be a quick be patient all will be fine kind of thing. Anyway, I wanted to tell you guys this because we will leave tomorrow afternoon if all goes well. I'm still going to try and post on the blog while I'm gone by transferring pictures from the desktop to the laptop so I have them accessible. I'll do some stamping today as well so I can have some new, fun stuff to show ya.

In the meantime here is a card that I made with a My Favorite Things set called Hot Stuff. It is a really simple 4 1/4 X 4 1/4 card. The card base is with Wild Wasabi Textured Cardstock. Also used is Regal Rose and Whisper White. Ink: Stazon Black, Rose Red. Accessories: White Taffeta Ribbon and Copic Markers.

I hope you like this little card and that you have a super fantastic day! :0)

Can I share something funny?

So...one of the challenges over at SCS's Dare to get Dirty yesterday was from Toy (Holly). She challenged us to make a card for a male with non-traditional male stamps and non-traditional male colors. You guys know that I do that often because Todd loves yellow so that is what I usually will make his cards with. You can see one of my other cards on a post from a couple of days ago. So, anyway, I had this Rubber Romance stamp out the other day. I love it but I was having a hard time using it. When I saw the challenge this idea popped into my head! See? It is a non-traditional male stamp with non-traditional male colors but definitely made for a male, right? :0) You can see what I made this card with HERE.

The second card is the first try with this stamp. I think the saying is so cute! The Wild Wasabi cardstock is the new textured cardstock in the In Color's by SU!. I really like textured paper when I'm not sure what to do with the background. A little Stickles and Crystal Effects adds some fun to the saying.

Hope you have a fantastic day today and get some time for stamping! :0)
