Watch out for us SU! Demos!

My friend, Gwen, posted this on her blog and I thought it was so cute that I HAD to share it with you!

UPS Memo

Date: June 20th , 2007

Subject: Crazy Stampin' Up! Ladies

This time of the year has come around once again. Stampin' Up! is releasing the New Idea Book and Catalog. Please be extremely cautious of Stampin' Up! demonstrators (SUDs) for the next two weeks.

Watch out for the following:

1. At the distribution centers, please be on the lookout for SUDs. In the past they have been known to cut fences and sneak inside covered with close to cocoa ink in hopes of blending in with the trucks.

2. The ladies have been known to run after your trucks. If they catch you and ask if you have a "package" for them, be careful with your answer. They do not take "no" for an answer. If you do not have it, just say " I will double check in the back" and turn and run as fast as you can to your truck and drive away. Do not turn back and look, just keep going until you are a safe distance away.

3. They have also been know to drive up next to you at a stop light in their mini vans and SUVs and ask if you have a package for them. Turn up your radio and pretend you cannot hear them. Do not let them approach your delivery truck at an intersection. SUDs have been know to stop traffic and throw all your packages off the trucks until they find their new Idea Book and catalog.

How to Deliver the New Idea Book and Catalog
1. Be sure you have fixed your squeaky brakes, If not - park your truck two blocks away so the SUD can not hear you coming.

2. Put in your earplugs and secure your safety glasses.

3. If you see children looking out the window, put your finger up to your lips and say "SHHHH".. They are on a "lookout" for you and are being paid to "alert" their mothers (SUDs) when they see you coming to the door.

4. Approach the front door and very quietly, set the package down in front of the door (Make sure you place it in FRONT so when she opens the door, the box will be in the way and give you a little more time to escape).

5. Back up as far as you can and reach for the doorbell, (BE READY TO RUN !!!). Ring the doorbell and make a mad dash back to your truck and drive away....DO NOT LOOK BACK !!!

The UPS corporation is informing you of this because in the past years, SUDs have been known to scream at the top of their lungs with excitement and try to tackle you with hugs for delivering their catalogs. After you have been smothered with appreciation for getting them their catalogs on time, watch out for flying packaging material as they will open up the box before you have had a chance to leave , or they have gone inside.

Best of luck to you with this mission, and remember

Let's Be Safe Out There!!!!

I'm Home!

Just thought I'd let you all know that I'm home. The drive home was great until I got the the Columbia River area and then the wind was just whipping. It made it very difficult to drive. I have so missed Todd, boys, home, dogs, and, of course, you guys!

I probably wont have time to make any new cards over the next 10 days or so as I have VBS this next week and will be taking some time to transcribe my school notes onto the computer as I have some pretty hefty papers to write as follow up to my classes. I will have swap cards to share though and will probably be able to post them after VBS...so in the afternoon. Please be patient just a bit longer. Everything will be back to normal soon!

Thanks for supporting Todd's blogging while I was gone! I thought he did an excellent job and he'll definitely have to be a guest artist sometime...doncha think? :0) Oh, and guess what was waiting for me when I got home? A beautiful, new, necklace! Woohoo!

Have a fantastic weekend! Oh, and be looking for some blog candy soon! :0)

Friday...

All you wonderful stampers know what it is when it is Friday. Lorie will be home this time instead of me. We are so looking forward to her return.

If your reading this for a new idea, my last two have not turned out. I just cannot create anything with a flower theme. I'm going to try one more card, but I can't promise anything.

Best part is I'm still trying to stamp even after a block. I now understand what happens when you don't have ideas or they don't turn out.

If it is nice outside where your at enjoy the weather. If it is not pray for change. And remember to live well, laugh often, love much and create change when needed. Have a great weekend!!!!!

Good Idea Bad Card

OK, all you super stampers...I did not hit a run today. I had a great idea and it just never came around. I tried to use Lorie's favorite color with the pink "L". It just did not go the way I intended.

I tried to go with a cool flower card, it just is not going to happen. Anyway this one is to tell Lorie how much she is appreciated. Just a few adjectives that scratch the surface that is Lorie. She already knows how bad I'm doing in running the finances. Lorie is needed to bring us all back to reality and keep us grounded.

I know she will read this, so Lorie I love and miss you lots. Enjoy school, we are waiting for you to come home. All our love....

Maybe this will trigger a few ideas for the rest of you in what not to do on a card. I promise to give you one more good card this week before I sign off. Maybe Lorie will invite me back as a guess designer?????? Have a good day.

Retired Accessories List

Good Morning my stamping friends! I sure do miss you all and my blogging! I thought I would take a quick moment before going off to class to share with you the Retired Accessories List. Please note that on the copy that you will see that there are different colors indicating whether or not the item is available. Please take a look at that before you want to place an order. You can go ahead and e-mail me if you would like to know if a product is available BUT I will only be checking e-mail at my lunch break (and that is only if I have time) and then after dinner.

Now...back to your regular programing!

New, New, New plus more....

All you super stampers here is the next idea on my list. I hope you enjoy it. Very simple, but it shows my appreciation to Lorie. I am truly blessed with my partner.

By the way I forgot to say thanks for the wonderful fathers day stuff. Yes it was a bumpy ride, but I had a nice time. Thank you for everything.

For everyone else I know that the fathers really do appreciate whatever you may have done. Simple stuff is really what I am about.

Enjoy the card and idea. If you have suggestion please always add them. I love to learn new ideas for my creations. I really appreciate all the input. I have been keeping it in mind and using glitter whenever I can to spice up the card. Thanks for the idea Dawn.

Back Again

I'm back for another week. I'm working on a card, so be expecting one tonight probably. Had a good father's day hanging out with Lorie and Kyler.

If you do travel to Spokane, the Manito Park is beautiful. If you like flowers, there are several different gardens within the park to walk through. The most amazing part, all the flowers have name plates so you know what you are looking at. I thought it was nice, except the weather was cool with sprinkles on Sunday.

So stampers be waiting patiently for the card tonight or maybe this afternoon.

This is dedicated...

This is dedicated to the man who can fill in perfectly while I'm gone. His cooking is probably better than mine, he can clean a house to make it look like there aren't 5 people living there, he shuttles the kids around, gives lots of love, and apparently he is a fantastic stamper!

Thank you, Todd, for choosing me to be your partner. Thank you for taking on the challenge of parenting three boys and doing a great job. Thank you for being there whenever I need you.

Happy Father's Day!
