happy spring

Good morning everyone! How did your Monday go? Uneventful I hope! **Yep, I'm a dork and posted this Monday night instead of Tuesday morning...sorry!**

After I made my last cupcake card I just had to make another with the spring cupcake. Isn't she cute? I imagine she is closing her eyes, enjoying the fresh, WARM, spring air. Ahhh...love it! So tell me...what do you think of the color combination this time? I couldn't decide if I liked the orange behind the image. And, I kinda wish I would have made the circle bigger but...such is life. This one has been set aside for Todd's grandma. I wish I could be there when she opens it as I know she will love it!

This is another kinda busy week...not like last week but still busy. Kyler's birthday is on Thursday and his sleepover with friends is on Friday. The good news is...I finished my SNSS Round-Up card for the 15th today. You guys are going to love it...it is so fun!

So...that is it for today. I hope that you have a super Tuesday and get lots checked off your to do list!

limeLIGHT april project

Good morning stampers! Today is the 6th of the month and what does that mean? Yep, it is reveal day for limeLIGHT Papercrafts project for the month.

In April limeLIGHT is celebrating Earth day by going green. Yep, that's right...take something you've used before (or is recycled) and make something fabulous with it!

For my project I have taken an Eclipse gum holder and re-purposed it for a peanut butter M&M holder. I started off intending to use patterned paper around the outside of the container but since the center of the container is concave so that was pretty close to impossible for me to do so...I used some of LLPC 1.5" Parrot Green Ric Rac. I do like to add ribbon in addition to that so I added a piece of So Saffron grosgrain ribbon, too. To the body of the container I added some cut out butterflies from a Unity stamp set (check out all of the Unity stamps that LLPC carries HERE). You will also find all the Prima flowers and adhesive Pearls you need HERE and HERE. For the top I used some lovely paper from TaaDaa and the sentiment from the Unity set on top.

I actually made this for a friend of mine who...1. has always given me cute cards card challenges, lots of support and 2. is seriously hoping that Spring will be here...like now! I'm hoping that the springy colors of this holder combined with her favorite candy will bring a smile to her face!

You definitely need to go check out what the other Chicks have to show you...they are quite the talented group of women! You can find links to their blogs following...JenMarie, Becky, Lisa, Ryann, Lee, and the limeLIGHT Papercrafts blog too.

Now, go...have a super day!

orange cupcake?

Good Saturday morning everyone! Just a quick post today with a little cupcake card for ya.

Everything on this card is from Taylored Expressions. The image is from A Year of Sweets 1 and the cardstock and embellishments are from the March Key Ingredients kit.

Okay, it is time for me to be honest with you. I'm not sure what I was thinking making this cupcake orange...I mean seriously but all in all I still think this is cute. Let's just take this as a what not to do moment, k? LOL! This card was made for Kerry's Thursday Challenge...Eat it! Make a card with a food image on it somewhere. That is a fun challenge...go try it!

I do want you to know that since I am not a part of Page Plans any longer I will only sporadically be posting on Sundays. So...with that information...

I'll see you back here on Monday for my limeLIGHT Papercrafts April project reveal. This month we are going green! Should be fun! See you then!

Alright...I have a super busy Saturday in front of me so I need to eat some breakfast and get moving. Have a super weekend!

final day

Good Friday morning friends! Today is the last and final day in the Sweet N Sassy Stamps New Release Blog Hop.

Today's challenge is Clean and Simple. Yep, I showed you that one on Monday. You can see it HERE. If you participate in that challenge you can win the Birthday Greetings set that I showed you a card with yesterday!

Today, though, my card features the color challenge which is orange, blue, and green...much like the Basic Grey Marrakech paper so guess what I used? Complete details will be at the bottom of this post but I did indeed use the Marrakech paper and again used the new Dream Silhouettes set. Now, if you participate in the color challenge you will have a chance to receive the new Spring Scenes set which is a great set to add fun scenes to your cards!

Now...don't forget the release party tonight. It will be at the SNSS forum at 9 p.m. If you aren't already a member why don't you head on over right now and sign up so you can join us for some fun!

Today on the blog hop (in order) you will be visiting Courtney, Korin, Deb, and finishing up at the SNSS Blog. Have a great time!

I have some fun things to share with you in the future so be sure to stop back by!

limeLIGHT sketch and product focus

Well, here we are at post #2 for today! This is my 1st of three sketch and product challenges for limeLIGHT Papercrafts this month. Love 'em!

I had SO much fun with this sketch and card this week! Whenever I get a sketch that is round I always have to make a scalloped card. Don't know why but that is how it works for me. LOL! I actually think this would be a SUPER cute tag for a baby gift.

It's April!!! Spring is here!! That makes me think of bright, sunshine-filled days!! What's bright and shiny?? Metallics!! What can you find that's shiny metallic to use on your challenge this week?? Brads, Metallic Paper, Eyelets, Embellies??? Let your creativity "shine"!!!!

When I saw all of the adorable cards that the Pink Cat Studio DT made with the new releases for this month I just knew I had to have the sets...so, I bought mine from Mandy just as soon as I could. The set that I used for this card is called Dress Up Sweet Pea. Is that baby not adorable? Seriously! The super cute patterned paper that I used is from Pebbles, Inc and is SO sweet...it is called Baby Pink Word Paper. I also think I'm totally addicted to the beautiful pearls that you can get from LLPC. I had to use some more of the Snow Pearls on this card. And, finally I added a little paperclip from my stash to hold my two sentiments together. You must go and check out all the fun embellishments that LLPC carries, too!

So, go...stamp away (be sure to add something metallic)...then upload (with the tag of LLPC018) and link your card to Mandy's blog for a chance to win one 6x6 or 8x8 pad of paper! My gosh...that is generous! Have fun! Don't forgot to check out all of the Chick's projects by following the links in my side bar!

day two

It's day two of Sweet N Sassy Stamps blog hop! Woot! Have you gone and checked out the featured DT blogs yet? If not start with Cindy and hop on!!

Remember when I said yesterday that I was supposed to use the sketch challenge yesterday? Well, here is my card with the sketch challenge...only I rotated the sketch to make it work for a birthday greeting. What? Birthday greetings? You betcha! One of my favorite things in this new release is a Birthday Greetings set. It has wonderful sentiments with great fonts for anything birthday situation. You'll love it!

Have fun hoppin' and make sure you check out my limeLIGHT sketch and product challenge above this post!

today is the day...

Morning everyone! Today is the first day of the Sweet N Sassy Stamps new release blog hop...yay!

This month we will be giving away 4 stamps sets via challenges that you will find on the blog of the challenge host (or if the design team member is participating then each individual will post it as well).

Today, my card qualifies for one of the first challenges which is to use birds on your card. Chris is the host of that challenge so be sure to make your card, upload it to the Sweet N Sassy Stamps gallery for a chance to win the Dream Silhouettes set that you see featured on my card. (You can enlarge the picture to see more detail.) This will also work for another challenge that will be hosted later in the week. I messed things up a little though and should have used the sketch challenge that Suzy has today but you'll see that tomorrow. Silly me!

So, if you are following along with the blog hop you came here from Suzy's blog and will be heading to Faith's blog next. Have a super time!
