Good morning friends! Are you shocked? I'm actually posting something crafty! I know, I know...I'll get back into the swing of things soon!
Today, though, I want to show you the table favors I've made. In addition to getting the table decorations together for the Care Net Dessert Buffet (next Monday!) Todd and I are also hosting two tables of our friends. When the Care Net director (Hi Judy!) said it would be okay to make table favors I knew exactly what I'd do. The colors of the banquet are black, white and our accent color, red. I just got these big tins in a bulk buy on the LNS Demo group so they were, of course, screaming out to me to use them. I used a retired jumbo wheel to decorate the nuggets as the heart is part of the Care Net logo. In the current set Baroque Motifs there is a fabulous swirl stamp that I used in red on Shimmery White card stock to make the belly band and add some color to the sentiment circle. The flower is made from the Flower Folds Bigz XL Die and my Big Shot...those two things made this project a breeze! A little bit of black ribbon to finish the tin off and wahlah...all done! Really, once I figured out what I wanted to make it didn't take me anytime at all to put 8 of those tins together!
Now, the little tin I made for the speaker. The speakers name is Nina Fuller. She has a wonderful family including two girls with Downs Syndrome which is what she'll be speaking on. The shocking statistic is that 80-90% of the babies diagnosed with Downs Syndrome in utero are aborted. Here is a little from Nina's website..TESS-TIMONY of HOPE – Nina’s internationally popular presentation will take you to the heart of the pro-life vs. pro-choice issues of today. You will hear firsthand why Nina did not abort her fourth child even when her own life was compromised while carrying a baby with Down syndrome and heart defects. Deuteronomy 30:19, 20. I used the 'cherish' from the Baroque Motifs set for the sentiment on the sides of the tin and decorated the top by places a stamped piece of paper inside the top of the tin. Again, a little ribbon to finish it off and I was done.
If you've read this far...congrats! I was a little long winded this morning for sure!
I hope that you all have a super wonderful day!
