day three

And here is Debby's super cute Tutuface card! I can't say that there is anything about this card that I don't like. The colors are fab, the embellishments are fab, the layout is fab...everything is fabulous! I love the buttons!

I bet you guys are jealous that you don't work with Debby, huh?

I know this is short but since I am typing this up on Thursday morning I don't have anything personal to tell you.

Tomorrow I will show you the card I made Todd for Father's Day then on Monday we'll be back to the last three days of the office challenge.

Have a super Saturday!

day two

Alright ladies. Here is my card number two in the office challenge. I decided to use the same paper on both cards as I like to show how things that are the same can look very different. This time I used the layout from the SheetLoad of Cards for June. I think that the simple papers and embellishments really allow Tutuface to be center show!

I again used my COPIC markers to color her, the paper is from SU!, this time I used (or tried to use) Liquid Pearl for the tights but I didn't do so well. Oh, and her little skirt is colored with pink Stickles. The flower embellishment is from Sassafrass. Not to much..not to little. Just right!

Tomorrow you'll see the card that Debby made with Tutuface. It is to to cute! Lame, I know! Have a fantastic Friday all!

first in a series...

Today's card is the first in a series of six Stamping Bella cards that I'll be showing you. I think I mentioned that my co-worker, Debby (hi debby!) challenged myself and another co-worker to an office challenge. She gave us four images and challenged us to make two cards with each image and then we swapped them. Okay, Debby and I have. Stephanie is busy a new grandma so we'll let her slide for now! LOL!

So, what I'm going to do is show the cards that I made with each image and the the card that Debby has made with the images. I have 6 total so that should (including the one day break for Father's Day) get me to the end of my trip. Hopefully the scheduling thing works correctly through blogger.

I am starting with Tutuface 'cuz I think she is just adorable and I can live my little girl dreams out through her. She is pretty simple and straight forward. The papers and die cuts are from the SU! retired SSK called Just Delightful. She was colored (what color there is) with COPIC Markers and Frosted Lace Stickles. I added some Bella Baubles to the frame of the picture and decided the simplicity of the card makes it really cute.

Several of you have asked for the breakfast casserole recipe. I must first say that I think you should have joined Courtney's recipe swap (it is an ongoing thing...check it out HERE) but since you didn't I'll be nice and post it. Here you go...

Mom’s Breakfast Casserole
by: Cheryl Brookhiser

* ½ pound pork sausage, browned and drained
* 8 eggs – beaten
* 2 cups milk
* 6 slices bread (take off crust and cube) white bread works best
* 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded (I like sharp cheddar)
* salt and pepper to taste

Grease 9 x 13 pan. Mix all ingredients together and pour into pan. Cover and let set in fridge overnight. Bake in morning at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes until eggs are set and lightly browned on top. Slice and serve with fruit and a steaming hot cup of coffee. Serves: depends on your portion size but at least 6 and up to 12.

If you try it let me know what you think! I am off to work on scheduling the rest of my posts for during my trip. Have a thankful Thursday (so thank someone for something they've done for you)!

Oh, and I keep forgetting to tell you guys that if you are a member of TripleLandC you should check it everyday as I try and do something each day there. Right now we have a sketch challenge going on and a post going on to help those of us who have kids home for the summer come up with fun things to do with them. So go check it out! Not a member? june recipe swap

For the third consecutive month I participated in Courtney's recipe swap. For the month of June it was breakfast recipes. As soon as she announced it I knew I had to used my mom's breakfast casserole recipe. It is one of my favorites! As a child my mom would make this recipe for special occasions like Christmas, Easter and the like. I do the same but those special occasions include birthday's first and last day of school (except this year...I forgot...shame on me!) and the like. The kids and Todd were literally shocked when they heard I would be sharing the recipe....lol! I am completely sure that there are many versions of this recipe floating around out there so I by no means think this is original.

For the "kiss the cook" circle I used CHF Baked with Love. The designer paper has coffee words all over it as you must have a yummy cup of coffee with this breakfast casserole.

Oh, image swap participants...if you received your images would you please go to the POST and let me know? Thank you!

Alright, well...I have laundry to do and packing so I should run. I hope you all have a Wonderful Wednesday!

monogramed card

Good morning friends! I have got to learn to take pictures on contrasting paper when I use a white card stock base! I needed a note card yesterday so I decided to use the design HERE and make my own. I love the Berry Bliss designer series paper from SU! so I used that again. The rest of it is self explanatory. I wasn't able to link you to Taylored Expressions store last time but it seems that I can this time. Just click supplies, stamps and there you go! In the end...I didn't end up using this note card but I'll save it for the future because I'm sure I'll have plenty of reason to use it later.

Just a quick heads up for you guys. On Thursday afternoon we'll be heading to Seattle as Kyler and I leave to visit my grandpa at 8:30 a.m. on Friday morning and Jon goes leaves for his dad's house later in the day. Okay, great you may say, so? Well, my grandpa doesn't do computers so I don't believe I'll have access to a computer for the time that I'm gone...yikes! Blogger does have a scheduling feature now though so (if I get my butt in gear and stamp some more...I have four cards ready!) I should be able to schedule posts for while I'm gone. The weather is not good in the mid-west right now so please pray for everyone living in those areas to be safe and for me to not get lost! I'm directionally challenged and I will be flying into Chicago then driving the four hours to Iowa. Once I get out of the Chicago area I'm sure I'll be fine but still...nerve wracking for me!

I wish you all a terrific Tuesday! See you tomorrow!

not sure what to show you...

I've been making cards like crazy the last couple of days. So much so I'm not sure what to show you! I think I will show you the Bikahbabeabella card that I made with my 3 Little DReaMs set yesterday. Isn't she cute? What you can't see in the picture is the Gelly pen on wherever there might be chrome and the Crystal Effects on the mirror and lights. IRL...it is sooo cool! I used the light pink ribbon to make it girlie. I'm debating putting a happy birthday circle on this card for a friend but I'll probably just write it inside! All but two items for this card are from my June 3 Little DReaMs kit. If you haven't already checked out 3 Little DReaMs you should go do that now! Katie just packs our packages full of great stuff to make such cute cards! Another reason I'm thrilled about 3 Little DReaMs is because Katie has asked me to be her on her Senior Design Team. I was totally shocked but definitely said yes! I love Katie...she is so sweet and talented! She is holding a design team call right now that I want ALL of you to go check out HERE. Also, if you already are an orderer of these wonderful kits just let me know and I'll add your blog to my 3 Little DReaMs blog roll in the left column of my blog. If you don't have a blog...I'll just list your name, k?
So, that is my exciting news! I hope you all don't get sick of my talk about 3 Little DReaMs! Laughing 19

Have a mondo Monday (don't know what that means but hey...it rhymes!)!!!

3 little dreams

Hey, everyone! If you are a 3 Little DReaMs Yahoo group member or if you purchase 3 Little DReaMs kits please leave me a comment here with your blog address and I'll add you into my blog roll in my side bar. Come back tomorrow (6/9/08) to find out my exciting news!!!

meet me at the cafe

Remember when I showed you the MFT sets that I got HERE? Well...I'm just getting the chance to try one of them called Meet Me At The Cafe. I hope that you all like this card because I love it. I have a couple of friends that have birthday's this month and I'm already behind in making them cards. This is for one of them. I uploaded the card to SCS last night so you can go HERE to see the colors and paper that I used for this card. I just realized that I didn't color in the seats of the chairs...duh! Guess I'll need to do that before I send it out, huh?

So, today I'll make another birthday card so I can be not so late with the other one. I will also be working on my office challenge cards. Yep, one of my co-workers (hi, Debby! *waving!*) challenged us to make some cards with a couple of super cute images from Stamping Bella called Tutuface and Fabby . I've got one done and a layout idea (which will look suspiciously like another layout from recently) for the other. So...stay tuned!

So today we go to our summer schedule at church which is a 9:30 a.m. service and an 11:00 a.m. service (usually first service is at 8:45 a.m.). Most people think this is good but I don't as I always end up running late as I loose track of time. Cuckoo Clock I know, I know...I'm weird! So, today...I will try to be on time (which is a 1/2 hour early because of my job)...wish me luck!

I hope you all have a splendid Sunday and find time to craft today!
