teacher gift

Good morning! The last day for the student teacher that Kyler has had this year is this Friday so I knew I needed to get my butt in gear yesterday and make the monogram cards that I've been thinking of. Here they are! Miss C is not at all a girlie girl. As a matter of fact the job position that she just accepted is in Alaska. Can you believe it? She is going to drive about 2500 miles to get to her new job. WOW! Anyway, since she isn't a girlie girl and her favorite color is approximately the color of Wild Wasabi I decided to use the Jersey Shore designer paper from SU! to make her cards. So all the paper (except the PTI white) is from SU! along with the Wild Wasabi and Pumpkin Pie ink. Do you love the monograms? They are by Just Rite and I bought mine from Taylored Expressions store (which I can't link you to for some reason right now. It's www.tayloredexpressions.com). A great price and super fast shipping. The set I got is called Curlz Font DIY Monogram Stamper Kit. It comes with three different borders (the one I used is a flower), a large Curlz alphabet, 2 medium Curlz alphabets, and the wooden stamp mount. I also purchased the small letters/numbers to make a custom border. I have to say the stamp inked easily and stamped evenly. I'm very happy overall with this purchase!

On a personal note. The intern interview went well. It looks like I will offer her the job. I'm quite excited about what this means for the kids of the church. They get to have a counselor from our church for camp and have a summer program. It should be lots of fun! Now...if we would all pray collectively that I find a person to fill our nursery position I would appreciate it! Baby 3

A note for image swap participants. I have all but one of the packages. The one I'm waiting for is from Canada and I'm truly hoping this isn't one of those cases where the postal service (on both ends) takes a month to get things here. I will have these in the mail one way or the other by Friday though, k? You guys will be so happy not only with the wide variety of images that you will receive but also by the quality of the stamped image. VERY nice!

Alright, you all have a terrific Tuesday! See ya tomorrow!

Lovely monogram cards. I have been wanting to get this monogram set for a while but it will have to wait a little bit longer.
Alaska!!! Oh how I wish. I lived there with my family for 5 years, actually we just moved there last year and I MISS it with a passion. It is just gorgeous and so much to do. I wish her the best of luck. (She is going to have a beautiful drive.)
