It's Friday...It's Friday...woohoo! Believe it or not...this week has gone SO slow for me. I shouldn't complain I know but I'm so glad it is Friday!Today I want to show you the super cute card that I made with this week's CPS sketch. I love this card...hate the photo. I just can't figure out how to take a good picture of a lighter colored card. I should probably wait 'til daytime but I just don't work that way unfortunately.
Anyway, I had much fun with this card. The base layer is Shimmery White, then Night of Navy, and finally some Frosty Day designer series paper. The snowman is a new release from Verve stamps called Snow Wonder and is SO cute! I stamped the snowman on shimmery white and colored him minimally with my COPIC markers. I used a strip of Tangerine Tango card stock and stamped it with some snowflakes from Snow Burst. Also, I added a couple of sparkly Christmas tree brads to the side. This is a large card at 4" x 9 1/4". It is a great size and card but how do I...or do I send it?
Anyway, I hope you have a great Friday and if you have any thoughts on better photos for light colored cards I'd love to hear it!

YAY! I'm first! I'M FIRST!! This card is adorable. Great showcase for that particular piece of DP. I haven't even cut into it yet...can you say hoarder? Anyhoo...I really need to get myself a light tent so I can start taking better shots of my cards. Hopefully Santa likes me this year! LOL! Cute card! If you want to send it, you could always make an envie for it out of DP. ;) When I make odd sized cards, I always find an envie first, and then measure it and cut the cs accordingly. That totally doesn't help you now, but maybe it's an idea for next time?

I've found that if I'm taking pics of lighter colored objects I stick a black piece of CS behind it and it just pops!

OMG I want that snowman so bad!! Can I twist your arm to send me a few images of him. I wanted to get him in my last Verve order and couldn't afford it. :( Such an adorable card!! I have a hard time with lighter colored cards too so no help here. :(
