What is the Belli Challenge you ask? Each week, Chris will give us a challenge that will use things we have lying around our stamp rooms! With a constant flow of new things coming out, we all tend to forget about the other things we have and they quickly become clutter! Come join us in the Belli Challenge and be sure to post your link to Chris's website (although I'd love to see too)!
This week's Belli Challenge is ENVELOPES. You can make MANY different things with your envelopes...In fact here are a few links for some ideas....
Make a completed project using ENVELOPES and share the link in Chris's comments linking to your project. When you post to Splitcoaststampers or to your blog, be sure and put CBC25 as the KEYWORD and mention of the challenge - with a link! The winner will receive an assortment of Designer Paper from Chris! Deadline to make a comment with the upload and do the Challenge will be on Monday evening. A random drawing will be held on Tuesday and the winner will be announced on Wednesday!
See now it was worth it saying Woohoo for me, huh? I will normally be posting my Belli Challenge on Wednesday's but because I just accepted Chris's invitation yesterday I'm a day late...sorry about that! Anyway, my envelope project is a note card holder. I got the basic idea HERE and used the new SNSS set Sweet Dreams. Would this not be cute for a friend who is going back to school or starting a new career?!
I've linked all the Belli Challenge Group in my side bar so please make sure you check out their blogs too!
So...Kyler and I are off to do some shopping today. Kyler is thrilled because he will FINALLY get to spend the Toys R Us gift card that Lorraine gave him some time ago...yay! I also let him take a little money out of his savings account to make it an extra special trip for him. Then we'll be off to Costco and Wal-Mart. Maybe, if we have time we'll stop at Craft Warehouse (actually, this will depend on where we have lunch...lol!) and Michael's. We'll have to wait and see!
Anyway, I hope you all have a thoughtful Thursday. How about you make today a day where you go out and do something nice for someone...anonymously! You all know I get enormous satisfaction from purchasing the coffee of the person behind me in line (the look on their faces and then you can almost hear them say...what?...why?...priceless!). You don't have to do something that big but just do something! How about...if you do something for a stranger and then you let me know about it you'll have a chance to win the above note card? You have until Sunday at 5:00 p.m. to let me know what fun thing you've done!
So have a super day and to get you smiling enjoy this smiley!

happy shopping :)
Lorie- This is SO CUTE! Did you draw the branch? Or is that part of the set? Love the colors and everything about this. And I love your idea of making some one's day anonymously. Have fun shopping and welcome to the Belli Group! :)

I LOVE your project!!! So, what'd you get, what'd you get from Michaels and Craft Warehouse??
I just took the kids to the movie rental store. The owner is my neighbor. We rented a movie and gave him cash to pay for the next person's rental. :) tee hee hee.... Vivian loved that idea!
Woohoo Lorie!!! Congrats and have fun!
Oh Lorie...such fun you are having. Your card it the cutest hoot I have seen. I love the colours. The nice challenge...okay so I try to do something nice for someone all the time. I will try the Tims thing (I don't drive) but I will do it at the cash register. I know I will get glances so I will tell them that my friend in the US challenge me. LOL> I will let you know how it goes.
Take care,
Bela
What a cute idea on the card. See you do rock!! Glad you are part of this, I'll have to pay attention to it!!
Hoep your shopping day went well too!
i already had something in the works when you posted the idea of doing something nice for someone else. I joined Freecycle which is basically giving a stranger stuff you don't need/use anymore w/o anything in return. The deal is for them to pick up the items from you. Since she has a 2-week old, I decided to drive over the items to her since it was difficult for her to get out of the house. I felt great about someone getting use out of my kids items as well as making the effort to make it easier for a new mom. We all knwo how that can be.
Our family did something nice for an 8 month old miniture dachshund. His human mother was living in her pick up with her and she died of a drug overdose so we adopted her. She is the cutest thing. She fits in well with our other dog and family. She is tons of fun.

What a cute card idea! I love it! I'll have to pay attn to my actions so I can report back later. ;)
Congrats AGAIN Girlfriend!! I know you are so talented!! Maybe I'll join in once my butt gets in gear...no mojo here, just too much tiredness from my day job - totally whipped when I get home.
Funny, my husband and I went out to eat tonight (some "us" time) while the boys were at baseball practice. I brought my coupons so we had a BOGO dinner. I had extra coupons I knew I wouldn't use (for sandwiches) and I saw a couple in the corner eating...Sandwiches! So I ripped off that coupon and had the waiter give it to them. It was nice to see the shocked look on their face...and it feels soo good inside!
TFS your good news and all your projects!!
Huggs!
Bev
What a cute card Lorie!
I really enjoy your blog and your upbeat attitude!
While out driving in NJ, crossing the Walt Whitman Bridge, I told the crossing toll taker to pay for the car behind me. As I slowly drove away, I thought about the look on their face! It was priceless!
At the end of the school year the students get yearbooks. They have already paid for them, and then they exchange and write in them. This year, knowing we have several families that do not have a lot of money, I purchased 4 additional year books. These were given out to students in my homeroom who didn't have the money to buy one. The looks on their faces was priceless. I made quite an impression on them and told them to help someone else when they could.
Connie... that was so sweet what you did for those students... really special...
I did nothing as wonderful as Connie. I only had a few dollars left on my babies r us gift certificate, and I have a million of those cards, so I left it at the cashier for the next person... it'll probably only cover the tax, but it's something
