A Celebration of Life!

What an exciting day today is! Today is the day my middle son, Jon, turns 16. I remember the day he was born and offered to let him stay up all night last night to experience how tired I was but he declined...I don't get it!? I'm amazed at how much he's changed yet he's still my little boy in so many ways. I'm so proud of him and love him with more than I ever thought I had.

Happy 16th birthday, Jon!

Today is also the 10th anniversary of my mom's death. The following will appear in my hometown paper in memory of her life. Please take the time to make sure you love your family with everything you've got as you never know when they won't be here. I love you and miss you everyday mom.

What a beautiful eulogy you have written for your mom. I know this is a bitter sweet day. May the sweetness envelope the sorrow and wrap around you with God's peace.

Your mother's piece is wonderful. I hope my children write about me like that after I'm gone.

Peace be with you today!

May God bless you on this day of the birth of your son and the welcome of your mom to God.

I too lost my mom and know how hard it is.

God watches over us and helps us each day.

Thanks for inspiring me in this short time, you have been so kind and your mom probably taught you to be kind to others. I know you have been nice to me.

Just wanted you to know that your tribute to your mom was lovely. My dad also passed away 10 years ago (only January 4th) so I can feel your loss and share in your special memories of your mom.
Happy Birthday as well to your son.
