Five Golden Rings

While it is not 5 golden rings (and I am more than okay with that) it is "Five colors to frame, two ways to do it, and some love". The little frames in the package are glossy! What a fun accessory to get to try! I can totally see myself using these with my Bella and Hanna stamps! I do have a little card for Todd that I'd like to show you guys but I do know he looks at the blogs and I haven't given it to him yet so please just wait...'cuz it is cute!

The next picture is of some super easy thank you notes that I made yesterday. You see, I am in charge of the nursery at my church and the paid person that works for us is currently on winter break with her family so for basically the entire month of December the nursery needs to be run by volunteers. Seems easy enough right? Well, sometimes (most of the time) volunteers are hard to come by and since I can't literally do two things at one time when I'm at church I want to make sure that those who help out with the nursery this month know that I appreciate it immensely! The thank you's on the inside of the star are from the new Hostess level 2 set called Thanks Tons. I just found a star shape on Google Pictures cut it out and then made a template with some card stock. Then I sponged the So Saffron for the star, stamped the Thank You stamp in Pumpkin Pie, added some Pumpkin Pie ribbon, sponged the edges with Pumpkin Pie, and done! On the inside is a stamped thank you sentiment and then a personal note.

For all you wives out there I will be posting something on my personal blog that I think will bless you. Please give me a little while to post it and then go see!

Oh, and a side note...I'm giving away some blog candy! I've been trying to wait for 50,000 hits but I'm just not patient enough SO comment on this post about a special something you are doing for your husband (or significant other) this Christmas. If you don't have a husband than tell me about something special you are doing for someone in your life. Your blog candy will be the retired set...Small Script. I don't have a picture of the set but it is new and unmounted and you can see some samples with it HERE. You have until Friday December 21st at 5:00 p.m. west coast time to post your comment. I'll have my husband choose his favorite and put the set in the mail to you on Saturday so please leave me some way to contact you so that I can do it right away and please number your comment (for example #1...then add your comment)! Well...it certainly doesn't sound very special, but I'm hiding a little shop-vac for my hubby for Christmas. We usually don't buy for each other (just the kids), but I couldn't resist...I know he'll love it. waldee@juno.com

Well, I hate the traditional Christmas pudding but my husband loves it. A friend introduced him to it years ago, but we no longer live nearby. So this year, I'm going to make him one. I know he'll enjoy it.

I love your thank you card idea. Let me see, I got my husband a gift certificate to drive a Nascar. I will never top that.

Thanks for the blog candy opportunity.
Since last year my hubby has been wanting a special tool set. He thinks they sold out before I could buy it. Well, I had bought it and it has been sitting in my closet. Sounds like your holiday is going great. You have a sweet hubby.

It has been a rough year for our family with unemployment, illness, miscarriage, etc. So we are just getting together and Santa will come and fill stockings. We are only exchanging one gift that has to be handmade.

My husband and I don't do anything special for each other at Christmas as we try to do special things for each other all year long. We really appreciate each other and let the other one know it. I guess this works as we just celebrated our 37th anniversary last month. We do for our grandkids and that gives us pleasure. Thank you for the giveaway.

Love those star thank you cards!! We are having baby's first christmas in our house so I am going to make a handprint of our sons hands and frame it nicely with a picture of him and dad to hang at work. He has boring cubicle walls and like to have pictures to help brighten them up.

What I am doing for my husband is getting the Laundry caught up...Doing laundry for 7 is a huge task...I am always knee deep in laundry. My husband is not a clean freak he just hates for the laundry to be piled up. So My goal is to get totally caught up and keep it up....for Him!!!

I have decided that this year instead of just celebrating Christmas in December, I am going to do something special on the
25th of each month throughout the coming year for my husband. I want to show them how much I love them and how they have all been a blessing to me throughout the year. Christmas is focused on our children and grandchildren and we love it, but this will give me a chance to express my love for my husband throughout the year in a unique way each month. Oh...by the way, your husband is the best! I am loving all the little gifts he is giving you. Thanks for sharing.

My husband does so much for our family, he's almost the mom he does so much running :) He loves loves loves to just unwind and watch his movies so this year I got him several Dvd's I know he wants including the PBS series on WWII. He's a history buff. I had to have it shipped to the house and tell him it was something else when he found the mail that day :) Ami

For my hubby this year ~ I am trying really hard (and it's really hard for me) to stay within the budget given to me for Christmas spending. And
I am trying to not overspend on my hubby, who really doesn't like elaborate gifs. As well, I am not shopping for myself, like I usually do, nor stuffing my own socking, but I am trusting that whatever I "want" I will get. :)

It will be an interesting year. I am having fun making everyone else's stuff!!!!

#23 - I am giving my hubby the gift of warmth. Remote starting for the car so he won't have to work so hard to get it warm!

We decided not to do gifts for each other this year since we just bought a house, but I would like to think of something to get him so he has a gift under the tree! Not sure what though.

My dh said he didn't want anything this year except to fill someone else's Thanksgiving Wish. Here's a little background: every year our local newspaper (The Grand Rapids Press) prints wishes that people have sent in for other people. These are things like "my daughter needs a ramp built on her house for her wheelchair and I'm hoping a local carpenter can do that for her", or "my grandchildren would love some books and we're having a hard time paying the bills this year." There are a lot of requests for dental work for people who need dentures or are embarrassed to smile because of their crooked teeth, so that's what I'm contributing to in honor of my husband this year! (I also bought him a cordless drill - on sale!)

Love your perky blog!

Hi Lorie!
It has been such fun watching your 12 days of Christmas :)

Thank you for offering a chance to win a stamp set...WOW!!!

What I did for a special friend: make peanut brittle.
This was a treat for her because 1) she loves it, and 2) I DON't COOK...so she knew how much effort I had put into it.

#29 I bought a beautiful frame that fits 5x7 pics, and it's matted. For the pics, I put school pics of his two high schoolers and then a pic of our baby at school (day care). It looks very professional and I know he will love it!

#33. Hello there. Thanks for the candy offer - I have often admired the script stamps, so would be very grateful if I won them.
On Christmas day I will be giving my husband a new bicycle (but don't tell him) as his old one is ready for retirement. He loves to go for cycle rides with the children.
