Chicken

Well, here we are...back at Saturday again! In case you couldn't tell from my lack of posting I was gone for a little while. We were with family while my FIL had open heart surgery. Everything is okay though and I'm pleased to be home!

Today I have a fun little card for you with a Doodle Pantry image from the set called Chicken. Teehee...I guess that is aptly named, huh?

Anyway, I used a little Cosmo Cricket Earth Love paper for this card along with the super cute 'What's up chickie?' sentiment that comes with the set to make this fun card. My last couple of Doodle Pantry cards have really been out of my comfort zone so I appreciate your kind comments!

Anyway, just a quick post with a reminder to go see the new releases from Doodle Pantry. They are HERE. While I haven't played with one of the new sets yet you can bet your booty I will be very soon!

Have a wonderful day everyone!

They lived and laughed...

Good morning friends and welcome to another amazing McMahon 5 Designs release. I have to tell you right off that I will not have the entire release for you to see today but if you hop right over HERE you'll see everything the amazing design team has done for today!

About a month ago I was having tea with my friend Nancy when I spied a sympathy card on her island. I asked if I could read the sentiment, she said yes. What I discovered touched my heart like no other sympathy sentiment has. It read on the outside (like my card) 'They lived and laughed and loved and left'. And then on the inside it said 'And the world will never be the same. Deepest Sympathy'. I can tell you from experience that one of the things that a person who has lost a loved one wants to know is that the person who has died will never be forgotten. It is hard to watch the world continue on while you are stuck trying to figure out how you are going to live without that person. I believe this sentiment will be a comfort to anyone who receives it which is why I asked Sue if she could put something together with it. I believe she did an incredible job. I love the bird, the script lettering, everything. It is gorgeous and will probably be my main sympathy sentiment in the future. Thank you for making this Sue!

I have to tell you that making this card touched me like none other has. I had tears welled up in my eyes the entire time. I have to say that I was relieved to be done with the card and for it to be put it away for awhile.

On purpose this card is very simple. Another thing I know from experience is that cards that are too busy are often quickly read over and put away whereas a card that is simple in its design and meaningful in its sentiment can remain out and a comfort to the family for some time.

I hope I didn't bore you with this post. I also truly hope you enjoy this sentiment and if you have the need to use it in the future that you will take the time to really put love and sympathy into the card.

More Big News!

Good Tuesday morning everyone! It is with great excitement that I get to share with you that I am officially a Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps design team member! I absolutely adore the SNSS images, both digi and clear stamps, and just knew I wanted to be on their design team again so...I contacted Korin and she had a spot for me and one other very talented designer, Taylor.

In addition to my announcement today I get to share a new image with you that SNSS is releasing today. It is called Tender Words. The set consists of the image you see in my hanging as well as 5 separate sentiments. Isn't this Bible and flowers image just gorgeous? I had just received this really neat hanging kit a couple of days before this image so I knew I wanted to use them together. I just followed the directions on the kit using some retired SU! patterned paper, ribbon, and then the fabulous SNSS image. I am not sure what I'll be doing with this hanging but I sure do love it!

I hope that you will hop on over to the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps website to check out all of their new (and older) images. I'm sure you'll find something you adore and you never need worry about what you might see at the store (or blog for that matter) that might offend you as Korin only designs images and sentiments that are glorifying to our Lord. You can't beat that!

Anyway, have a wonderful day everyone! I can't wait to show you more Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps projects!
