You can see the blog candy, become a follower and comment on THIS POST. Do not leave a comment here for the candy. This blog candy includes Copic Markers, ribbon, and Unity Stamps so go check it out! You have until Sunday at 7 p.m. Pacific time to comment so tell your friends to spread the fun!

Have a great time blog hopping today and a wonderful 4th of July! I hope you get to spend it with friends and family!

Vacation destination candy winner...

I'm also thinking Disney World in Florida but wherever it is- have fun!

Congratulations Tami! Please e-mail me, via the button at the right, your snail mail address and I'll get your brads out to you on Monday!

And, yes we are going to Disney World for my birthday! We have planned early so that we were able to get into the Military resort that is on the WDW grounds. From past experiences the DOD run hotels are great! That and due to Todd be retired Army we get a special deal on entrance to the parks. All of that together with great air fare have made it so we can do this trip.

Now, people will ask...are you taking the kids...we are not this time. I would like to be sure that Kyler gets to one of the parks before he leaves home (he was 4 months old the last time we went to California) but they will not go with us this time. Kyler is a bit bummed but said it was okay for us to go without him if we brought him back a souvenir. No worries there!

Anyway, I hope you have a super day with family and friends!

Today is the day...

Good Friday morning everyone! I'm so excited to be here with you guys this morning! First I want to show you my card for today and then...onto the blog candy!

This card is made primarily with Basic Grey Lemonade patterned paper. It also uses the Lemonade Woolies and buttons. All of these wonderful items can be purchased at limeLIGHT Papercrafts and I've gone ahead and linked you up to each individual item above. Go get the goods now! Don't forget that Mandy always has wonderful sales! The one I like the most right now is that she has Pink Cat Studios stamps on sale at 30% off!

So I know you aren't really here for the card (but isn't it cute?) so onto the blog candies! First up...where am I going for my 40th birthday trip. I've give you some hints this week and some of you think you have it figured out. I'm just wondering did you figure out exactly where it is? Your last clue would be...this place is HUGE compared to its sister destination and we have to travel further to get to it than we would its sister. Hopefully that makes sense and that you've guessed our destination. Leave your guess of where, exactly, we are headed here before 7 p.m. tonight and I'll be picking a winner from all the correct guesses to be posted late tonight! (I just realized we'll be leaving the house around 4 p.m. for the evening so I can't post when I previously said I would) What do you win? That wonderful package of circle brads from Stampin' Up! which in and of itself is a clue!

Now, today is my 1,000 post. That's a lot of post and chattin', huh? For that reason I thought I would put some blog candy up for grabs! I'm thinking you guys might enjoy this pack of blog candy. Instead of including a whole bunch of little things in my blog candy I decided to do three main items that everyone is sure to want. First, is a roll of SU! Certainly Celery twill ribbon. Next, is a bag of Unity Stamps. Awhile back they had a slammin' deal on grab bags and I bought two...of which I've used neither so you benefit! And finally, there are four COPIC markers included. The colors are... Y21, 100, RV11, V09. That is a little collection of basic markers for ya! Yes, they have been used some but they are sure to last you for some time! What do you need to do to win this blog candy? Leave a comment on this post (separate from the birthday comment, so you'll comment twice today) and become a follower of my blog by using the widget at the top of theright column. Please feel free to share this blog candy with your friends! If I get to 100 followers I will ADD 4 more Copic Markers to the envelope before I send it so it! I will draw a winner for this on Sunday night at 7 p.m. and announce the winner on my blog Monday morning!

If you have any questions please contact me via my e-mail button to the left! Have a super Friday everyone!

Lady Liberty and another clue...

Good morning everyone! Well, we are on the back side of the week now the next thing we know it will be Monday. It's funny but true!

Today I have a clean and simple 4th of July card. I've made more 4th of July cards this year than I ever have in the past and I think that is because I've had some fun images to work with. This image is absolutely one of my favorites! Unfortunately, the photo doesn't show it well but this card has lots of glitter on it. I used my Stardust glitter pen and highlighted all the fireworks along with the red in the flame and then the yellow in the flame I used a yellow Spica pen to color. It is very fun! I added a row of piercing, a sentiment, and then popped up Lady Liberty to complete my card.

I know some of you would love to have another clue for my competition tomorrow, right? Hmmm...lets see. Oh, I know. Due to the fact that my husband is retired military we will be able to stay at a special place to help reduce our costs of the trip! We can also get special ticket prices which will further reduce our cost. Although not a clue...DH has gotten his vacay slip approved at work...yay! So, today I will be taking a picture of this blog candy to post for you to see tomorrow as well as it will be the ONLY day for you to guess on our vacation destination. I will post around 6:30 a.m. my time (I'd schedule my post for midnight but the scheduling feature isn't reliable right now for blogspot) and you'll have until 5 p.m. tomorrow night to post your guess. Out of all the correct guesses I will choose a winner and let you know on a later post who won. Now, I will not accept just state guesses I want you to tell me specifically where we are going. I will give you one more hint tomorrow, too. Tell you friends about this if you want. The more the merrier! Remember...official guesses tomorrow!

You will need to comment a second time tomorrow to be entered in for the 1,000 post blog candy. How I'm going to choose blog candy for that is that it has to fit into a padded envelope. Not a little one either...an 8 1/2 x 11 envelope. LOTS of different types of things can fit into that size envelope ladies! The only thing I will ask is that you pass on the word about my blog candy and become a follower if you aren't already. Easy, huh?

I should get my limeLIGHT order today that includes almost all of the new Basic Grey Lemonade and June Bug papers and fun accessories! I'm SO excited! Expect a card with those products tomorrow!

Phew, if you aren't completely confused by now...congratulations! I have an e-mail me button over there on the left if you have any questions at all about tomorrow.

Have a super Thursday everyone!

Lots of info today..

Good morning everyone! Can you believe it is Wednesday already? My goodness this week is flying!

I made this super cute all Stampin' Up! card last night. I did not immediately fall in love with the Animal Stories stamp set but decided to order it as...well, I just couldn't stop myself. I did decide, however, that I would purchase the matching paper called Tall Tails to go with the set figuring it would make it easier to use and....I was right! This is a fun set and paper to work with and I really like the outcome of my card! I'm going to put a sentiment on the card when I decide who to send it to. This layout is this weeks Card Patterns sketch. Oh, and I have to tell you that the only thing I can think of when I see Animal Stories is actually animal crackers in my soup and I start singing the Shirley Temple song...LOL! If you would like a smile today check it out HERE. And don't forget...the new Stampin' Up! catalog goes live today! So exciting!

I just have to share my total blessing(s) this week! On Monday I was cruising my blogs and notice that I had been picked to win one of Heather's blog candies. Not just one of them but THE blog candy which is MY choice of Pink Cat Studios stamp set! I chose to get Lily & Tweet as, well...I love Lily and it is such a multi-purpose set! Then, yesterday I was cruising my blogs again and I saw my name picked as a winner in the Paper Crafts Connection blog candy! Ummm...this is a HUGE prize package(scroll down on the post and you'll see what it is that I'm receiving)! I'm just so incredibly thrilled with both of my wins!

Now...onto today's hint for my little competition. (Read HERE if you don't know what I'm talking about.) Remember, you may post your guess here now but it does not count toward the contest. That guess must be made on my July 3rd post! So, your hint today is....the temperature where we are headed to for my birthday will be in the mid-80's during the day. Ahhh...heaven! I have also ordered us a guide book for this trip. Whatcha thinkin? If I have more than one person that guesses correctly where we are going I'll just do a random drawing and annouce the winner on Saturday.

Oh, and guess what? On Saturday, July 4th, I'm going to be part of the "Oh Say Can You See Blog Hop on SNR Card Universe!" While I believe it is to late to sign up for the blog hop you should definitely head on over and see what SNR Card Universe is all about! I already have my card done for that and it is SO cute! You guys are going to LOVE it!

And, finally this morning I would like to share what my Psalm calendar says with you....

For he will speak peace unto his people. Psalm 85:8
A kind of "there, there" to all our hearts...

Isn't that wonderful. We all need peace in our lives so this Psalm is SO comforting!

Card deets:
Stamps: Animal Stories
Ink: So Saffron, More Mustard
Paper: Tall Tails, Old Olive, So Saffron, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Old Olive and Chocolate Chip Grosgrain, Dimensionals, White Gel Pen, So Saffron Marker
And some animal crackers...lol!

Celebrate America and Blog Candy (Soon)

Good morning friends! I hope this Tuesday morning brings you a fun and sunshiny day!

Today is my last day as a member of the Sweet N Sassy Stamps design team. What a 6 months it's been. The design team is a wonderful group of women and I hope you all will continue to check out their fun projects and keep up with all the new SNS stamps that come out!

For my final design team card I decided to try one of SNSS digital stamps. I have never used a digital stamp before and other than having a couple of frustrating moments (before I switched from a jpeg to the png file) it went pretty darn smoothly! I encourage you to give it a try! My firecracker and sentiment are from the Celebrate America set. This set has five Americana sentiments and two fun images. And, honestly, you know me...I'm a sucker for anything Americana! This card will be going to one of my two secret sisters that I have this summer. Fun stuff! I know you can't really see it but the black and yellow on the firecracker are both colored with Spica Glitter Pen. It is such a fun, sparkly card!

I'd like to thank all the design team member from SNSS. You are all amazing women of God who show your love for Him through your craft, your life, and your love for others. I've been honored to serve with you! You are supposed to hop on over to Sarah's blog after mine but she won't be able to post today. I encourage you to head on over there anyway and click on her SNSS category and see all the amazing cards she's made over the 6 months.

Now...onto something kinda fun. I have a combination of a blog milestone and a fun little competition for ya. Over the next three days I'll be giving you hints as to where my husband and I are headed for my 40th birthday in October. If, on July 3rd, someone guesses the correct location then I'll send them a gift. Why July 3rd? 'Cuz it will be my 1,000 post here on this blog! I know...isn't that crazy!?! On the 3rd I'll be posting my blog candy. I'm not sure what it will all be yet but I do know it will be good and will probably include a couple of somethings that start with the letter "c".

Okay, ready for the hints? I'll give ya a couple since you will only get a couple of hints. First, this place is no where close to my current home. And, it probably isn't a place you'd think an adult would want to go for their 40th birthday. You may guess now but I won't take your official guess until the 3rd.

Alright, now go! Have a super Tuesday and I'll see ya tomorrow!

Policemen

Oh, my friends...how did we get to the place where Paul Harvey's words in this are correct?

Kind And Caring Thoughts

Good Monday morning everyone. I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I've been dealing with a cold on top of allergies this weekend so I'm hoping a new weeks brings some relief to one or the other.

I took some time to make a card this week with the new Stampin' Up! hostess set called Kind And Caring Thoughts. It is a set with lovely images and wonderful sentiments. The only designer series paper that I have and that will be available in the new catalog and matches (somewhat) the new set is called To The Nines. This paper is what I would term a masculine paper so I definitely think this would work when a "guy" friend of ours isn't feeling well. I used the rock and roll technique on the image with Sage Shadow and Always Artichoke. The rest of the card is pretty easily followed. I did use the sketch challenge from Stampin' Addicts for last week.

I also wanted to share with you one of the first blooms of my bronze star rose plant for this year. I love this rose plant as the color is so beautiful and the bloom itself...just perfect! I have about 10 rose plants between my front and back yard. They tend to like the warm, dry weather here. The colors range from pink to red to red and white. I am quite the novice though and am trying to figure out how to help out a couple of the plants that have their branches lying on the rocks in the garden. I think I'm going to need to get a trellis or two.

Well, I hope you all have a super Monday! Tomorrow I'll have for your my last official design team card for Sweet N Sassy Stamps for you as we hop around to all of the new and old design team member's blog. See You Later

Card deets:
Stamps: Kind and Caring Thoughts
Ink: Sage Shadow, Always Artichoke
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Sage Shadow, To The Nines
