Three Clovers Designs: Time For Some Blog Yummies!!

it's all about Easter baksets

Good Friday morning everyone! For the first time in a couple of weeks the week went quickly. Yay! How has your week been? I hope it has been great!

Today is the 6th of the month so what does that mean? Yep, it is limeLIGHT Papercrafts project day. Each month I get the chance to make a fun project with limeLIGHT products and show it to you. This month is Easter Baskets! While I had a great time making this basket I did struggle a little to get to that point. But...that is behind me now and I get to show you my cutie! So...on with the show...

I made this basket with Chocolate Box Chocolate Chip Mint card stock from Core'dinations. Along with that I used the super cute Edible Easter Border stamp from Stampendous for the ends which I layered on the green side of the Chocolate box card stock. I then just added some grosgrain ribbon, brads, a "smiles" stamp on the handle and some doodling around the edges and voila! A cute Easter Basket! Do you see the cute little bunny inside the basket? Well, it is one of those that you pull back and then let go...when you let go the bunny's little bottom goes back and forth...too cute!

Oh, and listen to this little bit of happiness directly from Mandy...

With each and every order (regardless of amount) through Easter Sunday, Limelight will be sending out a plastic Easter egg filled with goodies! They could be filled with ribbon, stickers, Cat’s Eye ink pads, small stamps, buttons, Dew Drops, Shimmerz, and more! A few will have some “big prizes” written on slips of paper! There will be no rhyme or reason to which egg goes in an order. We’ll keep it as random as humanly possible!

Doesn't that sound fantastic? If you are like me you love a deal on shipping too. Mandy's shipping is just $5 on each order AND she ships faster than just about any company that I have ever dealt with. As a matter of fact I can place an order on Monday and I typically have it Tuesday or Wednesday. Crazy great, huh?!

Sooooo...what are you waiting for? Go check out limeLIGHT! And, have a super Friday!

**Edited to add...I've been asked if I have a template for this basket and I do not. I saw one like this on another blog (don't recall whose blog though) and just made mine a bit bigger. It is an 8x8 piece of card stock scored at 2" and 6" and then 2" and 6" the other way. Then on two of the opposite facing sides cut up the the box bottom on the score line. After which you can fold your basket in anyway you wish. I hope this makes sense!**

***Ack! How fun...my Easter Basket got a mention on Card of the Week.com! Thanks Susanna!***

limelight sketch and product focus AND new blog candy winner

Gooood Morning! It is the 5th so that means it is limeLIGHT Papercrafts sketch and product focus day! We have a great sketch and our product today is ric rac.

Oh, and because I didn't hear back from the winner of my blog candy (the silver rhinestones graciously donated by Mandy) I had to draw a new name. The NEW winner is...Missy!!! Yay Missy! Please e-mail me your address so Mandy can get those rhinestones out to you!

Now...onto ric rac fun!

RIC RAC ROCKS!
As a trim or to complete a scene,
Ric rac can be used on anything!
Used on a card or used on a layout,
Ric rac will make your creation stand out!

It's that time again, everyone! Time for our sixteenth installment of the Limelight Papercrafts Sketch and Product Challenge! Our theme for this challenge is RIC RAC ROCKS! Your challenge is to use ric rac on your card or layout! We have the COOLEST 1.5" ric rac from May Arts here at Limelight Papercrafts...Boy is that ric rac HUGE!! It is so fun to work with, so be sure to pick some up if you don't already have some! If you do not have the large ric rac, incorporate some of the skinny ric rac into your design. Don't have ANY ric rac? SHAME SHAME!! Just kidding. ;) Just create the ric rac pattern with a wavy-cut paper!

Important info:
*Key word for SCS upload is LLPC016.
*Post a comment with a link to their card to this post on Mandy's blog by Sunday night (March 8) at midnight. Mandy will choose a winner sometime Monday morning (so you really just have to post it before she chooses the winner!!).

Prize is one yard of EACH of the four new 1.5" Ric Rac ribbons from May Arts!

Now just a few deets about the card I made. The patterned paper is from the Marrakech paper pack from Basic Grey, a wonderful image from Unity Stamps, the fun Parrot Green ric rac, So Saffron grosgrain, and for a little bling I added some yellow Kaisercraft Rhinestones and outlined the sun/rays with glitter pen.

So...whatcha got? You got some ric rac at your house? Well, you definitely need to pull it out and try it with Mandy's sketch...HERE. Remember to follow the directions above for keyword and such.

See you tomorrow with my limeLIGHT project reveal AND some super exciting information about...well...you'll just have to wait and see!

baby blessings

Morning everyone! How is your week going so far? I got a limeLIGHT Papercrafts order yesterday and I'm so excited! But, first...I must show you a super fun Baby Blessings card. Ready?

A co-worker of mine is having a baby boy at the end of this month so I thought I'd get a jump on making a card. I used the Sweet N Sassy Stamps set called Baby Blessings. Isn't this hippo just the cutest? The paper is from Imaginisce and I picked it up for a song back a couple of weeks ago. Ribbon and button is from PTI and all of it together...wonderful! Oh, and I have to tell you...the birds and flowers on this paper have flocking on them...so cute!

You know...one of the things I like the most about clear stamp sets is that you can take a stamp that is more block shaped and make it a banner shape...like I did with the sentiment here on this card. So versatile!

I have been asked to do the program for my PEO meeting on the 26th of this month and I'm so excited! I am going with a military theme...each of the members will make a card that we will give to the VFW here in town. They, in turn, will send it with or give it to military members that receive boxes or sweatsuits from our VFW. I think it is a wonderful cause. Now to figure out what I'm going to do! I'll let you know what I come up with for sure!

So...what are you working on? I'd love to see!

page plans

Good morning! Can you believe it is the beginning of March already? February always flys right bye! I had a wonderful time at the Princess Party yesterday. All the girls and table hosts looked so cute, the food was great, stories were so nicely told, and the cake was yummy! I thought clean up would be a bit of a pain but we actually had several people help us and it only took about 20 minutes. If you are one of the people that helped out yesterday thank you so much for your help...I so appreciate it!

Now, onto stamping. As you know today is Page Plans day and today's sketch is a sketch that lends itself to lots of different ways to use it. I decided to use it for Jon's birthday card. I used some October Afternoon patterned paper (just one example of the wonderful patterned paper you can get from limeLIGHT on sale right now but today is the last day so hurry on over!), Real Red, and Vanilla cardstock, a couple of fun SU! sets and I just couldn't help it...I added a couple of yellow rhinestones to the card too. Thankfully he didn't seem to mind!

This next week is a big one here on LLLC. I have a limeLIGHT sketch and product challenge (ric rac) for ya on Thursday and then a project reveal for you on Friday. Fun stuff!

Well, as usual...I need to run. I hope you have a super day today! Get lots of crafting in today!
