limeLIGHT project reveal

Good morning girls! I hope you've had a wonderful week! Thanks for stopping by today to see my February limeLIGHT Papercrafts Project!

I totally ran out of time at Christmas to make a couple of my friend's a gift so I thought this would be a great chance to make one of them since the challenge was a Valentine's Day Gift and Card for a friend.

For this challenge I made my friend Debby a holder for the stamped images that I know she has. I so appreciate Debby's advice about kids and the easy way I can talk to her. She also loves to volunteer and has great ideas for the Children's Ministry at my church. Anyway, I started with one of Lauren's templates, added patterned papers from the Bittersweet collection, some of the lovely Rose and Chocolate Pearls. I also used the Pink Shimmerz again. LOVE that stuff! Although you can't really see it well (so sorry about the pictures...I'm having a hard time getting a good picture recently) the Shimmerz is around the name plate on the front.

I used eight different Bittersweet papers on the inside of sleeves and then added white labels to each sleeve so that she can easily find the image that she is looking for. On the back I used the super cute sentiment called Chocolate Friends. And, since I used that cute sentiment I placed eight piece of Ghiradelli chocolate in the back sleeve.

The card has also been made with the Bittersweet papers and the Sweet N Sassy Stamps set called A True Friend. I added the super cute Bittersweet heart glazed brad to the middle of a flower to add a little oomph to the card. Again, I'm sorry for the picture...it stinks!

I hope that this project and the projects of the other limeLIGHT girls will inspire you to make something wonderful this Valentine's Day! Now, go...check 'em all out! (Links in my sidebar)

it's all about heart(s)

Good Wednesday morning everyone! Yay...half the week is over and here comes Friday!

Today is Belli Challenge day and guess what the challenge is today? Did you guess Hearts? You were right! We were challenged to use hearts in our project this week and given the time of year this one is easy!

Before I explain this card (that really doesn't need much explaining) I do have to tell you that I CASE'd this card. My friend Gwen had it on her blog and I loved it so much that I had to make one too! Wanna know how to make it? Just use the new SU! three-heart punch with some of the new Candy Lane designer series paper add a sentiment of your choice and you are all set!

Wanna play in the Belli Challenge with us? Well, make something with hearts, upload it to your favorite online community (or your blog) and then link it back to Chris's blog. Now...need some inspiration? I've got the list of Belli girls that are participating this week...go check 'em out! Holly Brown, Lee Murphy, Karen, Ceal Pritchett, Jennifer Greco, Debby McGillvray, Courtney Fowler Jessica Smith and Danita Hollinder.

I hope you'll stop back tomorrow to see my very first sketch challenge from limeLIGHT. I'm excited to show it to you!

created by courtney

Happy Tuesday everyone! Monday's are usually a very busy day for me so I decided to slow down a little bit yesterday and I got a ton of stamping done. Some I can show you...some I cannot. So...how about I show you my Created by Courtney Challenge card for today?

Today's challenge is to make a masculine valentine. I wasn't sure it if was supposed to be really guyish or just something that I would give to my husband so I went with the later. Once again I must say that I do like my card. I used on of Jen's Sketch For You To Try (from all the way back in November) and paired it with two of Verve Stamps new sets...Sweet Valentine and Hundred Hearts. And I couldn't not have some shimmer of some sort so I used Angel Wings Shimmerz in the center of each heart. To me black, red, and white is just the ultimate guy color combo for Valentine's Day. I also really like the off set layout of this sketch. Kinda keeps you guessing so to speak. The sentiment on the Riding Hood Red patterned paper is something that I often think about. I wondered when I had my second son how I would have enough love to go around...then number three came along and then Todd. I'm telling you...my love grows every single day for each of the wonderful men in my life!

Enough mush. I hope you will take some time to make a masculine card! Do you need some inspiration? Check out all of the CBCC Chicks...you'll find links in my sidebar.

I will see you tomorrow for the Belli Challenge for which I could have used today's card. What do you think it could be? Have a SUPER day!

CPS sketch #101

Good Monday morning everyone! I hope you had a super weekend!

Sweet N Sassy Stamps is excited to announce they are sponsoring the CPS sketch this week! Not only do you get to make a wonderful card but you have the chance to win a wonderful SNSS set!

I decided to go with a fun long card (approx 4" x 8 3/4"). I never have enough cards to just send to a friend when I want to let them know I'm thinking of them so I made a simple "Hey Girlfriend!" sentiment (from the Stylin' Shoes set) with life is beautiful paper in some fun girlie colors and I'm all set the next time I need to send out a card!

What do you need to do to win a new stamp set? Just make a card with the sketch you find at the CPS blog (link is above), upload it to your favorite online album, and then link it back to CPS. That's it! Easy Schmesy!

Sorry to post and run but I've got lots to do! Have a super day today!

you light up my life

Happy Sunday morning everyone! Today is Super Bowl day...yay! I do love football and even though my Packers are not playing I still am excited! Most of our house will be rooting for the Cardinals but one stubborn (can you tell we are having teenage issues right now?) 16 year old will be rooting for the Steelers. We will be going to a friends house to enjoy their company and BIG t.v.! Fun stuff!

As most of you know today is Page Plans day here on my blog. I do love Sunday's as most weeks I love my card and this week really is no exception. While it is a bright card I love this card! It is, of course, made with the Page Plans sketch below. The stamps I found at limeLIGHT Papercrafts and are called Shine On. Although this is not a traditional valentine card I think it would be a wonderful one with the "You light up my life." sentiment.

So...whatcha got for us with this sketch? I can really see some fun stuff with it! I really hope you'll try it!

Well, I hope you have a super day! Happy stamping, partying, or whatever you have planned for today!
