CPS sketch with magnolia

Good morning stampers! Today is Wednesday...right? I told you I'd try to be back on Wednesday with my Belli Challenge right? Yeah, well...the week has just totally slipped away from me and I'm just posting now..and it is Friday. Times flies when you are having fun I guess.

Anyway, the Belli Challenge was "new" for the new year. I decided to use a new Magnolia stamp that I bought and just received. I love this Tilda. I think she is adorable anyway and then to add the cross necklace...awww! So, I used the CPS sketch again but this time I flipped it to fit the image. The patterned paper is the fabulous new Basic Grey Bittersweet. The white and brown cardstocks are from PTI as is the sentiment and the brads are the matching colored Bittersweet brads. I added some Sakura clear glitter gel pen to Tilda's wings and the hearts on the light pink paper. She is colored with COPIC markers. The white ink for the sentiment is the new and fabulous Snow White Palette ink from PTI.

Just want you guys to know that I'll not be posting a lot over the next week (once or twice at the most). No worries...I just need to take some time off. I hope you all have a great weekend and I'll see ya soon!

belli challenge day and CPS!

Good morning everyone! It is exciting to announce that Sweet N Sassy Stamps is sponsoring CPS this week! You can click on my link to go check out the sketch and participate in the challenge for a chance to win a stamp set from SNSS.

I made this fun birthday card with the set Purr-fect Day. I know you've seen it before but I think this is such a cute cat and is perfect for the intended receiver! The cardstock, once again, is from the Basic Gray line called Urban Prairie and I just threw in some solid colors, some pearls, and a little paper piercing and voila! I forgot to take a picture of the inside but on the inside left I stamped a pattern of kittie feet as if a kittie had walked up the side of the card and then also put the mouse coming down the same side...kinda in Garfield style...lol! I stamped a sentiment on the center/right side and it looks so cute! Just use your imagination! I hope you take some time to play around with the CPS sketch...it is a great one!

Today is also Belli Challenge day. Today Chris challenged us to use the theme "new" in our stamping and to me that always means a new stamp set! I am in the progress of coloring a brand spankin' new Magnolia image but just haven't had the chance to finish so I can't post it for you as I had hoped. I will try my hardest to get back here to do it today but my day is pretty booked so far! I am going to link you to the other Belli Challenge players so that you can see their wonderful work! If you do play along with this challenge be sure to attach the tag of CBC49 to your uploaded piece and link it to Chris's blog for a chance to win a prize from Chris!

created by courtney challenge

Good morning friends! I hope that your Monday went well and that you are ready for a Created by Courtney Challenge! After a couple of weeks off for the holiday's we are back at it with a "green" theme. The idea is to recycle something into your crafting. Oh, and it also works for the Belli Challenge tomorrow...can you guess what that might be?

Can ya guess what I recycled into my crafting? Yep, a couple of taster spoons from my Tastefully Simple business. I have to be honest with you and tell you I like the idea behind this card but I'm not sure my white, plastic taster spoons necessarily go with the fancy martini glasses but maybe I'm just thinking of how things are after those three glasses of martinis! LOL!

Anyway, the bright blue paper is SU! Pacific Point, the patterned paper is from DCWV, the yellow is Lemon Tart from PTI, and of course I've used the PTI white as well. The ribbon that ties the spoons together is Summer Sunrise from PTI and finally the stamp set is called You Are Invited and is from Flourishes.

So...what can you create with something recycled? The CBCC Chicks have done a wonderful job this week so make sure you hop on over and check out all of their creations too! Excitingly we have two new challenge chicks so make sure to give them some extra love!

whew!

Morning SongI just thought if you are anything like me that you would enjoy a fun, bright morning greeting! So...good morning friends!

I think I'm finally wound down from the Sweet N Sassy blog hop and new release party...how about you? I'll have a card on Wednesday with the Purr-fect Day set AND a Belli challenge project for ya! Should be fun!

For today though you will see a couple of more calendar pages that I made. Both of these pages are made with retired SU! designer paper, Sweet N Sassy scripture stamps, and my PTI Simple Alphabet set. I have to say that I am especially happy with these two pages. There is just something about both of them that I love.

Just want you to know that I'm working at the college again for a couple of weeks so when I post it will probably be short and sweet. Also know that I may not post on non-challenge days as I am working the afternoon/evening shift (which I love) but that is also the time that I usually craft. Please be patient with me!

Have a super Monday everyone!Bouquet

page plans day!

Good morning stampers! If you visit my blog regularly you know that today is Page Plans Card Sketch day. I have truly come to love when I get to sit down and create with my Page Plans sketch and this week was no exception. On to the specifics of this bright card...

So, today, there is very little stamping involved on my card. As a matter of fact the only thing that is stamped is the thank you sentiment (which is from the SU! set Upsy Daisy). The cardstock is PTI's brown and white, the patterned paper is from DCWV, and the stickers and chipboard pieces are from Cloud 9's Chocolate Chalet collection. I'm simply in love with the way this turned out. The bright colors make me happy and I can't wait to send this out to a friend of mine!

Are you planning on clicking over to the Page Plans website? I think that you should...for two reasons. One is because the other design team members did a simply fabulous job at designing this week and two is because if you click over to their sight and participate in their contest then, well, you have a chance to win the new MAKING MEMORIES SLICE!!! Yep, you could win The Slice. How...well, you will have to click HERE to go check it out. You have an entire month to play along with this contest so why not try?

In other news...I though I had another card to show you today but that has been delayed until Wednesday so on Wednesday you will have two projects to see, k?

Oh, and guess what Todd and I watched yesterday afternoon. Mama Mia...it was SO much fun! It is no Broadway production but I truly loved it for the ABBA songs, the fun dancing, and the location shots were beautiful! What took us so long to see it...sheesh! And, today, I'll be taking Kyler to see Despereaux. A very trusted friend of mine says it is fantastic! And, finally today, I will be crafting a gift for a friend. I'm not sure what it will be yet but I'm excited to get started! That makes no sense but it is okay!

Have a super day everyone!Flower
