a little late

Good morning everyone! So sorry I'm a little late posting my Belli Challenge project for the day but I hope you'll think it is worth it!

Today Chrissy challenged us to make something Christmas. Easy schmesy, huh? The best part is that it works for the SNSS blog challenge too...woohoo!

Anyway the idea is to use things that you have laying around your craft room and well...I've had these skinny tins for some time and decided to make a gift certificate holder with it. I have seen this idea on other blogs and thought it was SO neat. I used paper from Imaginisce Snowy Jo Glitter Paper Pad and the cute little 3-d items you see are from the same paper pack. Very fun and very easy to put something adorable together. The photo on the right is the tin's top. This is what the recipient will see upon being presented with the gift. Inside I've placed the gift certificate on the bottom in a little pocket and added a little spot on top for a note to be written to the recipeient from the gift giver.

So...whatcha got laying around that you could make something Christmas out of? I bet it will be good do make sure I get to see. Need some inspiration? Check out the Belli Challenge Girls...

dots...a lot or a little?

Good morning everyone! How was your Monday? I had a pretty productive day and I'm thrilled that today is...Todd's birthday! Woohoo! Happy Birthday Honey! I love you bunches!

As you know...today is CBC Challenge day. Today's challenge is dots. You can use a little or a lot it is up to you but just use dots. This card is actually a card I made some time ago but haven't had a chance to share. The image is from Rubbernecker Stamp's Stamp Oasis Line. Is that not just an adorable image...so sweet! I just added a little SU! patterned paper, stamped some snowflakes on the read red card stock and then added a few dots around the main image and on the scallop. I think the dots really make this card just a touch cuter.

So, what can you make with dots? A card, scrapbook page, maybe an altered item? I'd love to see so make sure you let me know when you are done creating. Also make sure you upload your card and then link it back to Courtney's blog for a chance to win a fun prize from her! All the design team member's blog can be found on my sidebar. Make sure you check them all out!

Tomorrow is Belli Challenge day so stop back to see my project...I think you will really like it! Also, don't forget to become a follower of my Tastefully Simple blog if you'd like to receive a sample from me! You can also check out the recipes I have posted...they are yummy!

See you tomorrow!

golfafella gift card holder

Good morning everyone...how was your weekend? I got lots accomplished and I'm thrilled about that. I still have A LOT to do but that is life I guess.

Remember the other day when I showed you the box that I made for my friend's birthday? Well, we went and had dinner at that friend's house last night to celebrate our husband's birthdays. Papa Al's birthday was last week and Todd's is tomorrow. Anyway, we got a gift card to a local coffee place for Papa Al so I decided to alter a Sheetload of Shortcuts gift card holder to present it in. Papa Al is a big fisher and golfer so I had to go to Golfafella. I don't recall which patterned paper this is but I have used it with Golfafella in the past and toally love the argyle paper with the argyle socks. Too fun! I have used the bashful blue taffeta to hold this holder together as I have the birthday sentiments popped up on the inside so it is quite thick.

I enjoyed altering this holder until I got to the inside panel that actually holds the gift card...wow, that was quite the pain. I still don't think it looks top notch but I do know that Papa Al loved it and really that is all that counts!

Tomorrow is Created by Courtney day so I hope you'll check back to see what fun CBC Challenge you'll want to try (and it is fun)!

Don't forget to stop at my Tastefully Simple blog and become a follower so that I can send you out a sample. I'll send you a sample of one of our wonderful products when you do, so go check it out HERE! Well, you guys...I hope you all have a wonderful Monday! Oh, did you play in the PCP 10th Day of Christmas Challenge? I'd love to see if you did so link me up girl! See you all tomorrow!

page plans and paper craft planet

Good morning friends! What a great day of stamping I had yesterday. I made two cards and some little candy baskets. FUN!

This first card is my card for this weeks Page Plans sketch (that you should see to the left and below). This week we were asked to use traditional Christmas colors which to me means...red and green with maybe a little black. As you can see I simplified this sketch for my card but thought I'd have some fun with it and make a boy card.

I grabbed out my Winter Bright SSK from last year which uses Wild Wasabi and Real Red and used my Cool Dude stamp set from Sweet N Sassy Stamps. The rest is really self explanatory. Oh, except for the sentiment which I printed off my computer. So? Fun, huh?

Next is a cute little card that I made for today's Paper Craft Planet 12 Days of Christmas Contest. Today is 10 Lords A Leaping. The challenge is to make a card with a man or boy image. Premiering on my blog is Forgetful Sam from Sweet N Sassy Stamps...who, by the way, is sponsoring day 10 of the 12 Days of Christmas Contest. I just have to say that I wasn't real sure if I liked Forgetful Sam...until I got him into my house. I love him. This image is SO sweet. His eyes have so much expression and he is just such a boy. Korin did a great job of capturing his sweet "I'm sorry" expression. Anyway, I used some Basic Grey patterned paper (that I won from the SNSS Blog awhile back) called Offbeat and I must say that this paper truly is offbeat. I think I used the two most normal patterns in this pack but I'm looking forward to using the paper more! I colored Sam with COPIC markers and used some retired SU! ribbon to finish off the card. The sketch is from Verve's Holiday Release Sketch Challenges from back in November. I hope that if you aren't a PCP member you will join it...NOW! If you make a card for today's challenge please let me know...I'd love to see! Don't forget that if you upload your card to PCP you have a chance to win a prize from SNSS!

Just a couple of more things. First, next month officially starts my term as a Sweet N Sassy Stamps design team member. I'm excited to share the wonderful stamps and other DT members that SNSS has. The other thing would be...remember, if you become a follower of my Tastefully Simple blog you will get a chance (and I'm sure it is a great chance at this point) to receive a yummy Tastefully Simple sample. I'll probably send out more than one so maybe you should check it out. You can see that blog HERE. Remember to leave me a way to get a hold of you if you don't have a public profile for following blogs.

Wow this is super long but I hope that you enjoyed it! See you tomorrow!
