Clickabella

***Warning*** I'm going to pick apart this card today! Okay, so last night I thought this card was so super cute. This morning it is just okay. I hate it when that happens! I can see where I should have added some extra color and such but I can't take it back apart now so...it stays the way it is. What I do like about this card is the papers, color combo, and the build a brad. I also think the saying is so cute...I mean who doesn't like Live Your Bliss? Looking at it now I would add a layer under just Bella, add color around Bella and the sentiment, maybe figured out a layer behind the close to cocoa paper. Does anyone else do that? Make a card and then look at it later seeing what you could have done? I think that is just the way our crafting lives goes. But, that is good because it makes us grow in our craft, too! Brunette

If you guys are anything like me you have days when you are just more anxious than the next. Sometimes I wonder how I can help myself with it and I found a great post on Rachel Olsen's blog about that this morning. Take a few deep breaths and head on over to her blog to see how you can help relieve your anxiety a little! OH, and please check here for an announcement about a bible study that I will be starting!

So...just a reminder that I will not be posting for the next couple of days as I'll be out of town. It just happened to work out perfectly that Todd is off work while I'm gone so the kids are all taken care of and I don't have to worry...excessively at least! I hope you all have an exceedingly wonderful next couple of days! Catch ya later!

Site of Senses

I just have to tell you all about my dad. My dad has always been a handy kind of guy. He fixes things around the house...fixes cars...built 2 houses...woodworks...and most importantly, he loves his family especially his grandkids! Over the last several years my dad has been involved in his own business called Table Innovations. His different products help a range of different types of people from us crafters to children to those who have limited mobility. You can see his website HERE. His products are all very well made and worth every single penny you spend on them.

Over the last couple of years he has started a project called Site of Senses. My dad, along with the Kiwanis chapter in his area are teaming together to provide Site of Senses "boxes" (for lack of a much better word) for the severely sight impaired or blind and infants and children with multiple handicaps. I'm so proud of my dad for what he is doing for those that have a need that hasn't been met yet!

I would be honored if you would visit my dad's Site of Senses website and view the informational video that he has made available (Just click on the picture on the front page). I know you are probably saying that you don't need that type of thing but maybe someone you now know or will meet in the future will and you will have this information for them!

Most of all...pray that every child that needs something such as the Site of Senses box will find a way to get one. Thank you all for taking the time to think about this project!

Bible Study

Does anyone that reads my blog do a Bible study or want to do a Bible study? I have, for sometime now, thought it would be neat to do an online Bible study with my blogging sisters. I am starting a new study with my group of ladies at my church and honestly thought this would be the perfect time to start an online study too. While the details are not fully worked out yet I thought we could all buy the same book (Perplexing Proverbs for Women) and then plan a day to chat online about what in the weeks study stood out to us.

If this is something you'd be interested in please respond to this post as to whether an a.m. or p.m. chat time would work for you and what day of the week would be best. I know I can't please everyone but would like to do my best!

I'm going to keep this at the top for a few days to see where the interest lies so please scroll down for more current posts!

More fun!

So it has been more fun mail over the last couple of days! I got these two packages on the same day. The first one is an amazing card and package of goodies from Sari as a thank you for hosting the secret sister swap. It has card stock, ribbon, buttons, and TWO pink markers....so cool! Thank you much much Sari!

The second picture is a package from Bev. I signed up on her blog for a chance to participate in a tag pay if forward kind of thing. The idea is that I receive the tags that Bev made, make four cards with them, make four tags of my own and then send my tags in the cards I made with Bev's tags and send them onto someone else. (Did that make any sense at all?) I am actually NO GOOD, at all with tags but I signed up to try and win so I could break out of that little barrier. As soon as I get my cards done and tags made I will be posting again so that I can share the fun with someone else. I know one person who is getting a set for sure so I will have three sets up for grabs next week sometime.

Remember a couple of days ago when I said I couldn't remember what I wanted to tell you? Well, I remember this morning! If you are holding out hope for spring...I just want you to know there is hope! I have both purple and yellow Crocus's in my little front garden! Woohoo!

I hope you all will make today a great Wednesday and I'll see ya tomorrow!

Little Tidbits!

I thought I'd show you what the candy jar looks like when it is full of springy looking candy. Isn't it cute? Now to find a cello bag big enough to cover the entire dish so I can wrap it up with a bow. If you have one will you let me know and I will buy it from you?

The card is for my hairdresser (whose surgery is today I believe) and I assure you...it is much cuter in real life! I know the papers are quite busy but really...they go so well together. One little tip I can give you today...If you are going to use liquid applique and crystal effects...use the liquid applique first so that when you heat it the crystal effects won't bubble. Duh, for me! Why didn't I think of that before? I do think I'll use this layout again as it is so cute and could lend itself to lots of fun cards.

And a request. I would love to have a Magnolia image or two. Girls, boys...whatever you have...if you have them could we trade some images maybe? I've got lots of Bella's, Hanna's, SU! stamps and even PTI. Please let me know!

Oh, and on Thursday (I will still probably post this day), Friday, and Saturday this week I will either be traveling to or attending the Northwest Christian Education Conference over in the Seattle area. My good friend, Carol, and I will be attending again this year and I'm just so excited! We have a great time together and connect on so many levels that it is really a great time! If, by chance, any of my readers will be attending please let me know so we can meet up. That would be so neat!

So, go forth and make today a super day!

Candy Dish

While I was in the dollar store the other day I picked up this clear glass container. It is relatively large so I wouldn't say it is for candles so I'm guessing for candy or that type of thing. I thought it would be neat to use some rub-ons to decorate this dish. My intent was to make it for Kyler's teacher for Easter. She likes plain M&M's so I'll get some spring colored M&M's but them in a cello bag and then present it in this dish. It was hard to get a good picture without anything in it but the front of the dish says The Sweetest Thing and the sides are decorated with a scrolly, flowery type of rub-on. I started out using the black rub-on instead of white but I ruined it and had to take it off and start over again...with the white. All in all I like the look. Whatcha all think?

A couple of my SU! customers placed an order yesterday and I had some stuff to add to it that got me a free SAB set. While looking at the mini catalog I realized that I had totally missed one set that is so stinkin' cute! It is called Merci and has a heart, butterfly, small flower, big flower, and of course the word Merci. I can see many cute thank you cards with that set! Just remember the SAB catalog is only good for another 2 weeks so if you want any of the sets just contact your demo to place an order for you. Also, I feel the need to let you guys know that SU! has raised their minimum shipping cost from $3.95 to $6.95. What this means is that any order from $1 to $69.49 will have a shipping cost of $6.95. $69.50 and above will have the regular 10% applied to the order. I have to be honest and tell you that I don't like the raise in the minimum at all. While I completely understand the cost of shipping has risen a lot I also know that lots of online crafting stores don't even charge shipping with an order of $35 or $40 (and one I have bought from it's $10). I don't honestly think that this change will help SU! but they have to do what they need to make their business work too.

Okay, now that the unpleasant news is over how about some good news? Do you guys remember that I gave you a little challenge last Friday and that I said I'd pick a winner from those that told me about their RAK? Well, it looks like only 3 people took me up on my challenge so I'm sending all three of you a little something. Kristine, Cheryl, and Diane...thank you for stepping outside of yourself and doing something nice for another person. If you three ladies would please e-mail me your addresses (even if I already have it) I'll get something off to you!

I hope that you all make today a great Monday!

Yay!

Yesterday was another fun mail day for me. Do you see that card over there ------> That is an RAK that I received yesterday from Cristina. Cristina blogs about her life as a mom, wife, and stamper over at We3ski. I have to tell you that I'm woefully neglectful in know which SU! sets are which so I don't know what she used but I love her tone on tone and the blue and brown...love it! What is in the little bag you may ask? Cute little embellishments for me to be creative with. Now...lets just hope I can be creative with them! Cristina is always so upbeat and sweet. You really should go check out her blog! Thank you so much for the fun RAK Cristina!

I started working on a little Easter gift for Kyler's teacher yesterday. I like how it has come along so far. When it is all finished, which should be soon, I make sure to show it to you guys. Oh, and I'm also making a card for my hairdresser who is having surgery on Tuesday. I received a couple of the Underthehoody Bella images in the image swap I was a part of so I thought that would be cute and it is so far!

Oh, and this is going to sound silly but...I got the license plates for my car in the mail yesterday too. Now...I officially own my car well...until the bank sends me a new registration with their name on it and then I'll just be driving it around (and lookin' good doing it!) for them!

I keep forgetting to tell you guys something and this morning I still can't remember...hate that! I would tell the kids that it must have been a lie then...no! I was not going to lie to you! LOL! If I think of it again I'll come back and tell you in a separate post.

Don't forget about my little challenge for you guys and while you are at it...have a stupendous Sunday!
