A New Challenge!

Today I have something special to share with you from McMahon 5 Designs and Studio 313...a new monthly challenge! You can see the card I made for this challenge to the right. Want to see the inspiration? Keep reading for all the details. Know that my rosette is made from White Oak wood paper from M5D! That is right...it is REAL WOOD! We have exciting news to share with you! Studio 313 and McMahon Five Designs have joined forces and have a monthly challenge called "The Hotspot Challenge". The First of every month will be a new Hot Challenge based on the Latest Hottest Trends!

For February our theme is Natural Elements. Go ahead and find natural elements to add to your card this month! Pull out some of the items you haven't used in a while or haven't even tried yet! We all have hemp cord, raffia, wooden buttons, cotton ribbon and how about really changing it up and using Real Wood Paper? There are hundreds of ideas for it's use in the Idea Gallery! Below is an Inspirational Photo to get your creative minds going!

Your card is so ADORABLE Lorie! I just love what you did with the white oak wood paper!! I had no idea it would bend that well, but it's so perfect behind those birdies. Good job with the sponging of sky too--love it! =)

I just love your card! I saw that image in Sue's store and was thinking of using it too, but I went with the Barn one instead. It's such a cute image, and I love birds. That rosette is amazing. I can't believe you made that with the wood paper. I love the heart border too. Great job with the challenge!

Can I get a tweet, tweet?!?!? This card gets 2 tweets for being so darn cute!! Those two little birds are adorable and the WOOD rosette is amazing!!! I thought it was just wood grain paper not REAL wood. TOO COOL!!! Love the "Smooches" saying too. Is that a stamp or did you write that? Then there's the oh so cute heart border. LOOOOVE IT!!! You go girl!!
