Love's Redeeming Work is done.

Good morning! Looks like we are in for sun during the day again today but a chance of snow tonight. Such a funny time of the year when it comes to weather, huh?

Today's card is another made with a new release from Doodle Pantry. The name of the set is called He Is Risen and both images in the set are the view from the inside of the cave Jesus was buried in looking out. (I love the line in the song In Christ Alone where it says 'bursting forth in glorious day up from the grave he rose'. It gives me goosebumps to even type it. Easter brings us the ultimate gift...eternal life. Thank you Jesus!) For this card I used some black Lush paper patterned paper with PTI's Scarlett Jewel and basic black. I colored the scene with my Copic markers. A little bit of embossing on the vanilla sponged with more Scarlett Jewel almost finished it. When I looked at it I knew I wanted a couple of pearls on it and after places black pearls in several places I actually decided on two vanilla pearls in the corners where I placed them. I added the bow at the last minute to represent the gift we received in Christ's resurrection.

I'm entering this card into three challenges. First, the Christian Paper Crafts Blog Hop where the challenge was to make something with the He Is Risen theme. Next, the Paper Sundaes challenge this week which is embossing. And finally, Aly's Sunday Challenge which is Spring. Truly, nothing says spring more to me than Easter...the day of renewal.

So there you have it. I'll see ya tomorrow with a McMahon Five Designs post and Friday for some Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps! Have a wonderful day everyone!
