a true friend

Good morning everyone! We have a very sunshiny and warm start (up to 80 at my house today!) to our week this week! It is wonderful!

Today's senior design team challenge at Sweet N Sassy Stamps in to make a scripture card. Inside or out it is up to you it just has to have a scripture on it. And, I literally just realized I picked a stamp without a scripture...but it is from a scripture set called A True Friend so maybe that will qualify me instead. Sheesh...what an airhead I am! Okay, and now I'm a true airhead as I just went back to link up the stamp set and it isn't even a scripture set so don't use mine as an example of this challenge!

Anyway, I have a friend that moved here about 3 years ago and we became fast friends. At the beginning of the year this year her husband left his job and has been hunting for once since then. The good news? He has found a fantastic job! Pays well, great Christian boss, all that stuff! The not so good news? It is in Florida. I have been trying to get myself used to the fact that there will be no more weekly lunches with her and to be honest...it feels weird. Thankfully we both text so that will be a great way to keep in contact. All that to say...I have made several cards that I could give to her. This is one of them. I love the soft colors of this card and the Iris' are a lovely "watermark" of sorts for the sentiment. Anyway, the deets will be below but I recently got Gina K's first Stamp T.V. Kit and I used it for this card. And the layout is from Taylored Expressions.

Alright ladies...that is it for today! I hope you have a super Monday and I'll see you tomorrow for an all Stampin' Up! card!

Card deets:
Stamps: A True Friend (SNSS), Elegant Flowers (Gina K)
All the rest: Stamp T.V. Showtime Kit

It's pretty the way it is! I'm glad I'm not the only one that has "duh" moments.

Whoops! That went before I finished. I was going to finish saying but sometimes our "duh" moments turn out great. That's what happened with your card! It's beautiful!!!

This is a beautiful card Lorie and there may be no scripture but it is definitely heartfelt and exalts God.Sorry that your friend is moving away but today's technology does allow us to keep in contact. I am 17 hours away from ALL my family and my friends back home but we keep in touch

Your card is so lovely, Lorie -- it may not be a Scripture verse, but it praises the Lord, and is so soft and pretty!

Very soft and pretty, Lorie! I'm sure your friend will treasure it. I know you will miss the closeness you have when she moves away, but friendship is a matter of the heart and it is never more than a phone call or chat away.
Hugs!

Looks wonderful Lorie!!! That's sad about your friend,I had a co-worker that moved away along time ago,we still keep in touch. But she is so far,we never see each other. Maybe we should make the effort to see each other one a year or something. Friends are so precious, that's a card I posted today!

I love your card - my new found love is to create cards with great scripture verse on them and I love that you stamped something subtle over it, that is my next thing to try. So sorry about your friend. It is the best that he got a job but so sad that she needs to move. I guess you have a new vacation destination!
