another worm...

Here is another card that I made with Making the Grade. I needed a graduation card for Todd's nephew. He is graduating from high school this year and already is accepted into engineering school in Milwaukee. I think the worm is still too cute but the card is definitely masculine. I know that Matthew won't care what his card looks like but his mom, grandma and aunt will love this card! Like my man bow? That's what I've heard other people call that knot and I think it is so funny! I wasn't sure about putting the tree on the designer paper but I kinda like it. Other than the images the rest of the card is from Stampin' Up! The paper is Wild Wasabi, Really Rust, Chocolate Chip, and Apple Cider designer paper. The ink in Palette in Burnt Umber and I used my COPICS to color my image. I know that my photos don't show it much but I really am getting better about the shading and such with my COPICS. IRL this little worm has depth and is a cutie!

Oh, I saw P.S. I Love You yesterday afternoon. My goodness that was a tough one for me to watch. Interestingly I was the same age as Holly when Kyler's dad died. Actually it was the day after my 30th birthday. I can relate in some form with every part of that movie especially the end where she realizes that Gerry is gone for good. It is good to accept the loss and be able to move on but it is hard to realize (for real...know it in your head and heart) that it has happened. If you haven't seen the movie yet...rent it, curl up with a box of tissues and enjoy the love and emotion that the movie brings up.

If Charmaine doesn't get back to me by noon today I'll have the boys pick another number and I'll announce a new name as winner of the Glory from Lorie so check back later just in case.

Have a fantastic Sunday everyone!

***Edited to say...oh, my goodness ladies! I have just watched the YouTube video (HERE) about CHF's new scrapblocks. Looks like a great tool for stamping. Take about 5 minutes and watch the video! :o) Your welcome...I love to enable!***

Ah! You finally saw it! Let me tell you, it was so close to home in my life, too. It really makes you appreciate your relationships after seeing it! :)

Ok, on to the CHF stamp set. YOU AND DANI are killing me! I am broke and REALLY love this set!

The worm is kind of childish but I think it really fits! And the tree, great!

HUGS!

Lorie! I saw PS, I Love You yesterday too and although I didn't have a box of tissues close by I did get teary eyed a few times. Loved the movie and not at all what I thought it would be.
The card is cute, how did you make that "man bow"

This card is adorable!! I have never seen that movie. Usually when people say it's a tear jerker I steer clear. I'm all about comedies. I think movies like that bring back a lot of un-wanted memories so I try to keep things happy. I'm off to check out this video...you enabler! :)
