Nothing?

So I don't do a give away today? Weird! You know how ya get into habits and can't stop, right? Okay, one more! I want to re-name my blog candy. My blogging friends have things like JoAnna's Jems and Naptime Nuggets. How about you guys help me pick out a new name. The person that comes up with the one that I like the best will get a little something from me. So...Lorie's ????

My card today is a sympathy card that I made for a family here in town whose 4 year old son died in a sledding accident last week. I do not know the family but Todd works with the mom. Todd's department provided some traffic control for the funeral procession and he said there were many people there as I imagined there would be. Having been through losses of my own I can sympathize with the grieving process they have entered in to. I have not had a child die though and cannot imagine that in any way, shape or form. All I can do is pray a lot for that family. If you'd like to see what I used to make this card just click HERE.

Talking about all of this reminds me I need to ask for your help with something. Next month marks the 10th anniversary of my mom's death. The thought of this just amazes me and greatly saddens me as well. I would like to put a poem or something like that in the paper as a memorial type of thing but just don't know what to use. If you have something that has touched you in the past will you please pass it along to me? Just e-mail me or if it is short place it in the comments section. I really appreciate your help!

One more plea for help. I was going along just fine with my new Photo Shop Elements and my watermarks when all of a sudden it doesn't work the same way. I can't get them onto my pictures like I did yesterday morning with today's card. I was starting to like the program but that feeling is quickly going away! Please let me know if you can help! Thanks!

Have a super fabulous Saturday!

I'd say "Lorie's Lovlies" or combine it with the previous idea and say "Lorie's Lovely Loot."

Beautiful card. I'm sure the recipients will appreciate your kind thoughts. As for a name, looks like my idea has been taken. But, I still vote for Lorie's Loot!

I think you should call your candy:

Lorie's Lure

LURE: 1.a. Something that tempts or attracts with the promise of pleasure or reward.

I think that sums it up perfectly! :)

Hi,
Did you know it's really hard to find a good "L" word? Well, I guess you do since you're asking for help. I used an on-line thesaurus and looked up synonyms for prize and the only L word was loot. I see someone already mentioned Lorie's Loot though, so that's not very helpful.
I'll keep thinking and let you know if I come up with another good one.

Hi Lorie: I have been so sad with the hard decision of giving up my doggie and I have cried all week and I was even sadder to hear about the little boy. Oh my....my kids are always out tobogganing in the back hill and I always worry in the back of my mind. I am so sorry to hear about the tradgic loss of that family.

Your card says, "comforting"

Lovely sympathy card...'praying for the family.
I was just going to suggest "Lorie's Loot" or "Lorie's Lottery"...and then I read over the comments and I see that those ideas have already been mentioned.
I'll look for the poem I put in our local paper on the anniversary of my mother-in-law's death.

How about Lorie's Lorry of Loot. I think we all agree on the 'loot' bit! You could even make a little logo for it. Sorry, I'm getting a bit carried away lol.....

Your card is lovely, but I am so saddened for that family. How about some Glory from Lorie. You can put something in from of it like heavenly glory from Lorie, glittery glory from Lorie, etc.

Hi! Here's is what I came up with.
"Lorie's Load of Lavish Loot" lavish meaning generous
or
"Lorie's Lot of Lavish Loot"
or
"Lorie's Luxuriant Loot"
luxuriant meaning plentiful
or
"Lorie's Delectable Candy"
delectable meaning giving great pleasure
or
"Lorie's Stamping Candy"
Thanks and good luck, Kathy H...

What comes to mind for me is a few things. We're talking about blog candy and the letter L. So I think lollipop = Lorie's Lollies. ;)

I'm working on the poem for your mother. I have a few in my stash, I just need to hunt them down.
