Kiss, Kiss, Smooch, Smooch

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!! I really like Valentine's Day. Even though we should tell the one that we love, how much we love them every day I think it is okay for us to set aside a day and make sure that they know it. With that in mind I'm giving away some Valentine's blog candy. All you have to do is make a comment by midnight tonight about what you and your honey did (or are planning to do) for each other today. Even if you don't celebrate Valentine's Day please just let me know that, too. I'll be sending you this 6x6 Valentine's page (it looks better in real life...I promise!) and some other goodies. Do I hear you saying...but, I'm in your stamp club and I've already made that page? Well, if you are in my stamp club then you will be getting something else just as fantastic that I showed you last night. There is everyone happy now?

Are you one of my VeggieTales Moms customers, too? Well, then to celebrate Christ's love for us I have a Valentine's special for you, too! E-mail me your order by midnight tonight and get 15% off your entire order. There are lots of new items in the store (the link is to the left)
including a very cute pillow book! Go check it out!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday!

Thanks for offering up the Blog Candy...hope I win! lol!

We are under a snow emergency today so won't make it out to dinner. Mother Nature dumped 10 inches of snow on us, plus a layer of ice! My DH braved the weather last night to get me flowers and candy...such a sweetie.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Today is my husbands birthday. I am going to cook his favorite dinner and bake him his favorite cake. Every day is valentines day for me because he spoils me and tells me how much he loves me. He is just the sweetest man. Mary

Wow - never heard of blog candy - I'm sooo excited!! My hubby and I are going out on a date!! My mother's group offered to babysit the kids so the moms from the group can go out alone with our husbands - how very, very nice of them!! So I'm taking my wonderful husband to dinner tomorrow night! I'm so glad the ice/snow storm came last night & today so we'll still be able to go out tomorrow! Tonight I'm making dinner and we'll probably watch movies.

I hope you have a great Valentine's Day and am looking forward to my very first blog candy!

My husband is a HUGE Tobymac fan. The local Christian store was giving away free Tobymac tee shirts with the pre-order of his newest CD. The CD comes out on the 20th, but I knew my husband would love the tee. I put the tee, pre-order card, and a stamped (of course) card in the drivers seat of his car so he'd find it when he went to work. I have no idea what he's done for me... he always comes up with the craziest things... last year was a scavenger hunt with love notes to a candelit dinner! (Complete with a babysitter, I might add!)

He is sooo sweet... I'm so lucky!

We have celebrated a couple of times. On Sunday he took me out for dinner and last night, because he will not be at home tonight, I made a special dinner. Not to bad for 38 years of marriage!!!
Happy Valentine's Day to all!!

I am so excited as I have a very special gift for my Prince Charming this year. The picture of me that he carries in his wallet was made in 1995. So...a couple of weeks ago I went and had a picture made of just me. He has been asking for a new picture for years! I can't wait to see his face when he opens his gift and finds out that it is not another pair of Valentine's boxers. LOL We are saving our dinner plans for the weekend since there won't be time for a special dinner before Church tonight. I hope you have a wonderful Valentine's Day!!

We are in the middle of a Nor'easter here in Mass so I am home from work today. My fiance told me something special was going to be delivered to my work today, I guess I will have to wait until tomorrow. I am cooking him a special meal tonight :)

Happy Valentine's Day!!

I hope this is not to long winded, but love like this does not come along everyday. I have been in 2 failed marriages and I have been a a single mom to a soon to be 13yr. old DS and 16 yr old DD since May of 2005. Just this past September 6th out of the blue I recieved a phone call from a former boyfriend I dated my senior year of high school.( I celebrated my 25th class reunion in the summer of 2005). The last time we talked was 1980. He has also been married 2 times and is a single dad and has 2 children,17 yr old DS and 20 yr old DD.

We have been together everyday now thru phone calls and visit.(he lives 30 miles from me and can only see each other on weekends and sometimes once a week)

So today I will be making his favorite meal, lasagna and chocolate cake and yesterday I made homemade ice cream to go with the cake. Inspite of having dinner with my children and then dropping them off at church activites it will still be a special evening for the two of us.

But on this up coming weekend we plan to go spend our first weekend alone for a couples weekend at a hotel an hour away. We are both very excited.

I hope I did not bore you too much, but I can't believe how much in love I am after all that I have been through. I am 44 and I feel like I am 16 again.

Have a Great Day.

We are not as well off as some are this year. So, our Valentine's Day is quite simple. We are snowed in and loving it. We are going to go outside and play in the snow as well. Our 5 year old daughter makes us more like kids than we have been in a long time. My husband went out last night and bought a cake and cards and flowers. We are enjoying them.

Happy Valentine's Day

Great candy!!!!!!!
My dh has been away at a conference since last Thursday. He was supposed to be home late tonite and has changed his flight to come home early. He is feeling very guilty as our baby was very sick and spent 2 days in the hospital. I am looking forward to him coming home and spending time with us. I am sure he will not have bought anything...but he will make it up to me by giving me a day to myself...
I will make him a great dinner and I have a box of his favorite chocolates..
Happy valentine's Day!

Today is the first Valentine's Day that my Future Husband and I are together. We don't buy into the big hype of spending lots of money on each other and sending flowers that don't last very long - so we just traded cards and are spending the day together. He made heart shaped pancakes for breakfast, and is working from home so he can spend time with me. I'm making a special dinner for him tonight, and we have a 'chick flick' movie all picked out to watch on the couch this evening.

When your single like I am Valentine's is just another day. But I do celebrate it with DS who unfortunately has the flu this year so isn't much into celebrating.

My DH always buys me roses for Valentines day. This year they are the most beautiful color and very hard to describe. They sort of match SU real red cs, but with a touch more orange. He always buys them early so I can enjoy them on the day. We exchange small gifts that usually include chocolates. Then there is an inexpensive jewlery gift either a necklace or a pin. It's almost 37 years and I'm keeping him. Besides he lets me drive his red mustang convertable all the time.

We are going to go out to dinner with the kids before going to a local Nursing Home to visit and sing. I made DH a card and both kids a card this year.

TFS...DH is in Vancouver for the rest of the week on business! We will try and go out for supper (we have a 100 G/C from Christmas that we haven't been able to use yet!) once our niece can fit us into her babysitting schedule...ha!...she has more of a life than we do! All the best...

Well, my hubby brought me flowers and a little decorated cake last night, and he lets me buy whatever I want...so that's what I call "true love"!!! We have been married 30 years. I hope we get another 30!!!

I made a special v-day card for my DH. My DH and my 2 sons enjoy knock knock jokes, so I made some 3x3 cards and wrote the joke on the outside with the punchline in the inside of the card. Each card had 2 heart chocloates used with punches and/or stamps as the decorations on the front 3x3 card. Each one of them received a Target mailbox with candy & treats as well as Valentine cupcakes from Starbucks. Presentation of all of the items is very cute!

Have a special dinner planned for them all!!!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

It's our 29th wedding anniversary. We just adopted our two one year olds. So I had reservations for dinner, and our oldest daughter was coming home to baby-sit. The best laid plans. It snowed last night.....11 inches, we are under a level 3 snow alert! That means only emergency vehicles on the road.
I guess my sweetest darling will just have to put up with my cooking one more night and me for desert! :}

My honey came home from work this morning (he works 3rd shift, 9:30 pm 'til 6 am) with his arms overflowing with sweet gifts for me. Such a great way to start the morning...a Michael Buble CD, a bouquet of red tulips (my favorite flower), a heart shaped box of chocolates (a girl's best friend) and the most touching card! Great start to a great day. I took him out to lunch and got him an assortment of great kitchen gadgets (he loves to cook!).

I have been laid up for the past 3 days with a bad back. My hubby had to help the kids do their valentines, go out last night and get some candy for our kids and do all of my normal running around. This and he even remembered to get me some of my favorite chocolate!! He has gone to work now for the evening, but I plan on doing something special for him when my back heals!

Since we do not have any babysitters, we will spend the night baking yummy goodies with the girls and when they go to bed...my husband and I will play boardgames and cards. We are best friends and lovers all year long and do not play up valentine's day except for the fact that we met on valentine's day 8 years ago.:)

It's our 13th anniversary today, but we won't be going out until Saturday evening- we'll go to the movies, something we don't do often enough! We love the movies!
My lovely man had roses delivered to work for me today though!

I was planning on making my hubby his dinner of choice but unfortunately we are snowed in today. Even the Army cancelled work..you know it's bad when that happens. So instead we raided the pantry and made homemade pizzas and have been watching DVD's all day. It's been awesome!!

We never really do much, usually just exchange cards.
Thanks for offering the blog candy!

Your page is beautiful.

My husband surprised me today at work with a beautiful bouquet of flowers - while I was in the mist of making 60 flower arrangements as part of a fundraiser event! He is down with a terrible cold so we will celebratee our annual Valentines dinner later in the week when he feels better. Oh yes, choclate candy too! He rocks!!

Hi Lorie,
We don't have any big plans today. I spent the afternoon at the quilt shop for the first session of a "big shirt" class. This morning Larry gave me a really cute fancy container of heart shaped chocolates. (I may have to enlarge the "big shirt" LOL) Since I was in Ellensburg yesterday, I went to Vinmans to get his present which was 2 of each of the varieties of focaccia bread and 2 each of the sticky buns and downtowners. He got all that and a special card. Cool blog you have. When do you have time to do all you are doing? Take care sweet Lorie. D

DH and I are planning on spending Friday together - he'll take a vacation day then. Oh, and on the Veggie Tales front, I think that's GREAT that there are Veggie moms! Did you know that Veggie Tales videos were ALL THE RAGE at my daughters' college campus 10 years ago? They'd get lots of kids in one dorm room and even the guys would sing along with the theme song!!
